Hi all - so I am considering changing my 997.2s manual for something else. At the top of that list is the last C63 coupe in edition 507 guise. I am keen to get any opinions or experiences from those of you that have had similar cars if possible. The 507 seems relatively rare so I thought getting thoughts within the 911 community for comparison before I go and start looking and test driving.

All thoughts appreciated!

Thanks

I think the answers you will get on this forum may be a tad biased, in much the same way they would be if you asked the same question on an AMG/Mercedes forum.

For what it's worth, I'd keep the 997 biggrin

How long have you had it?

You already know that the 997 2S manual is a lovely, lovely thing. That gearbox and steering alone would be enough to make the decision very easy for me. Having had a short time with a C63 AMG (non-507) I know that personally I would get very bored very quickly. The engine is great but the rest of it, less so. I'm not sure that the 507 other than a bit of rarity (which doesn't resonate with me personally) offers much over the standard car?

The 997 2S manual is a proper sportscar and something I'll likely be seeking out in the not too distant future.

As always try one though if you are interested, why not?

The only hot rodded saloon based car that has got near to a proper sportscar that I have driven is the Alfa Quad. The AMGs and RS audis dont get near and always make me wish I had bought the diesel as at least its cheap. I bought and AMG 55 and spet money on suspension LSD,s etc. It was Ok but still some way off a thorough bred.
