Yes I have used Sutton OPC for years too and never had any issues especially with the service team.

Well, I can only speak as I find. Been buying Porsche cars for a very long time. Many of those from Porsche Sutton. Can say without any hesitation that the level of service that I have received not only from the sales team but also the service Dept has been as good as it gets.
This is the thing with people ranting about OPC's or any dealer. People are always going to have bad experienes....unfortunately it does happen...but equally lots of people have very positive experiences.

My acid test is what happens if something goes wrong...everyone makes mistakes but all about how they fix them. The OPC I use is great, best dealer of any make/brand I have ever dealt with.

because it works?

iirc there was someone on here who bought 30 macans at once and got a gt2 rs as a direct result, he bought them as company cars for employees, ran them for a month or so then sold them back, did it through his company so he isn't taking the personal hit
Of course he's taking a hit. It's his company! ha.

"With that in mind another nice story from PEC last year. A group of people were all there together for a 'Just got a new Macan' driving day. Turns out their non-Porsche owning boss was desperate for a GT3 RS. OPC says he can't have one as he needs to have ordered at least 15 new Porsches before he'll be considered. So he does just that. Orders 15 Macan's on the spot. Gave away the complimentary driving days to his staff. Oh, and he also got the RS. biglaugh"

But you are probably Porsche uk’s best customer ,you probably don’t need to use toilet paper.

All the OPC’s , and Porsche HQ access these threads.

So, there would be absolutely no point whatsoever in naming and shaming, and in turn guaranteeing you never accessing a GT product again.

So what we frequently see, as above, is the opposite. The OPC ‘love in’ post, which is easier to see through than a back benchers question to their own Party leader.

My .2 was 135k and worth every penny but if you gonna buy metal that you do not need then that 135k buy at list isn’t so attractive..

OPC’s know very well that GT3.2 is a bargain at list.

And, really, does this buying extra cars really happen to hopefully secure a GT?.

Before I landed my .2GT3 I was thinking of paying overs. I spoke to the OPC that offered me the overs car and I stated ‘’it’s only a deal if you give me a letter stating I would definitely secure a .2RS later on’’, he declined and said NO to the letter - I then said ‘’fine but NO thanks then’’. So for me that’s cool, we knew where both of us stood. But where he messed up was stating to me ‘’definitely no more GT3’s coming to the UK’’ when trying to move the overs car to me.

Roll on 3 months, bingo, I was offered a .2GT3 slot from my first choice OPC to which never played BS games with me, just a genuine professional sales experience..

So, you here the nasty bits but there are some good bits too. And to note, I have only ever owned 2 Porsche’s, both GT3’s....
Congratulations, didn't realise you secured one in the end!

Well he went to the wrong OPC. At this OPC the customer who got a GT3 and GT2RS apparently spent £1 million in 12 months and another customer spent a similar amount in 6 months to get a GT3 and GT3RS allocation. The Macan chap missed out on a GT3 lol

yeah but that is kinda the point in my opinion - I don't know Apolo, but he clearly buys a lot of cars. So if it was my business, I would treat him very well too.

All those people thinking that buying one or a couple of Panameras, Macans or whatever entitles them to then get a GT/RS product, which currently is clearly coveted by a lot more people than there are cars, should just spend more money and buy more cars .... Not sure where they all where when the 996 and 997 GT cars where launched, as it did not seem difficult to get hold of one of those. Maybe they were not interested, because they were not trading at overs/provided free motoring...

If you really want the car and want to keep it, then paying a little premium over list should not be an issue

Unfortunately i havent been in a position to buy new Porsche for many years.

I know Porsche Sutton very well though. I used to stand outside the old site on Chester Road, in the middle of the night more times than i care to remember, in the mid/late 90's. The security officer used to think i was crazy standing there in the pouring raining staring at the 928's, 964's and 993's dreaming of owning a Porsche one day!

Can't fault the service team. Since we started using them in the mid 2000's for work on older cars they have always been very good.

Sales team over the 4 years or so i have bought new cars have been a mixed bag. I think they've had 4/5 DP's in that time and i've dealt with the same number of sales people. You can work out my feelings towards the new management team and their sales tactics!

Yes, Silverstone have a very good reputation. A guy i know who lives a couple of miles from Sutton OPC uses them instead of going to Sutton and he and his family buy a number of cars annually.

I'm sure they do read it but my first experience of a Porsche service department was absolutely horrendous. In truth I have never had a car treated so badly as my first OPC experience. Considering the car was purchased from them as an immaculate approved vehicle less than 6 months earlier the 'pre-existing stone chip repairs that have failed' excuse and offer to improve the look of the butchery I would suggest were deliberately targetted to just get rid of the problem rather than resolve anything.

As much as I like the car, the Porsche attitude I have experienced from an OPC you would reasonably expect to be at the top of the league table in the UK has guaranteed I will not own another one.
