Hi all,
My first foray into the Porsche arena so please forgive me if I get anything wrong/assume things.
I'm considering a couple of options and would like to seek some opinions if possible.
I've only ever sat in one Porsche and that was when I was 17. But I've always wanted to own a 911 GT3 or GT3 RS. I've always loved the looks, noise and sense of occasion the car carries. I'm now in a fortunate position to be able to realise that dream.
Here in Australia, a 2018 991.2 GT3 is roughly $40-50k less than a 2016 991.1 GT3 RS. My question is, where would your money go? It wouldn't be a daily driver (but I'd probably drive it most days just to listen to it).
Any advice appreciated!

For what it's worth the RS is the more 'special' car IMO by simply being an RS, plus for me it just really looks the part, esp in UV which now seems to be a special colour only associated with this particular model, for now anyway.
Either car is ludicrously fast in the scheme of things, but RS is only PDK, you have a choice with the GT3.2.
There seems to be a big difference in cost with you, but if that's not an issue then I'd go RS.

I think the new engine and the infotainment wins over an RS badge esp if not being used as a track hack.
Looks wise the RS is mega, but I would want the newer car with the race proven engine, better steering feel and nice PCM unit.
PDK then the 991.2 RS is king of course, it seems a big step forward but big money.
Manual, well there are no choices so the 991.2 is king.
Always a tough choice if you say 991.1 RS over 991.2 PDK,, I think I would go 991.1 RS in UV then regret it. but then it's not a choice I have to make as I wanted a manual car so own the 991.2 manual GT3 and it's amazing. but could I really if push comes to shove choose the older RS/engine over the new none RS car !!! no idea truth be told hence my post is all over the place lol, thank goodness in manual there was no choice, (ok there was winged or not,) !!!!
