Looks decent value:
It's got 5 days to go, it won't end at £125k. They all start looking cheap on CC.
Cheap or the right price ? Definitely been a few cars go through which make forecourt prices look highly optimistic.

This Crayon Touring will be interesting as there are always buyers but it’s not got the PCCB’s and Buckets that the “Collector” will want. Drivers spec ! Although personally would rather have Buckets.

Anyone made any GT3 purchases lately as we move into better weather, track day season etc?

Just sorting my 3,000 km euro road trip, can’t wait to get back into some epic roads. This year will be exclusively Pyrenees, down to Barcelona and then back through Pyrenees, Bordeaux (pick up some supplies!) then home. No Alpine passes for the GT3 trip this year, will save those for the RS4 with family aboard later in the summer!
I'm in the market for one, or will be in the next week/s. In the middle of a personal battle of 991.1RS or 991.2. If not purchased from an OPC is warranty easily obtainable? I'm sure it has been discussed over the last 100 pages...so apologies for the repeat questions.

To get a car back into extended warranty programme, you'll need to have

- owned the car for at least 90days
- completed recent service at OPC or Authorised Service Centre (so.. an OPC)
- passed their 111 point check (which you might be able to get included at the time of OPC service)

It is a tight choice between 991.1RS and 991.2 GT3.... 991.1RS is just such a good looking car IMO and does the lifestyle thing just as brilliantly as it does the trackday thing. Proper value.

But the 991.2 GT3 has THE engine.

I was in the same position 991.1RS or .2 GT3.

My wife found the RS a little OTT and didn't like scaffolding in the back, plus I finally decided I wanted a manual, so .2 for me.

I do look longingly at RS's though!!

I think you need to get out in both and make your mind up.

Come to Nurburgsingh's breakfast meet in the Cotswold's and meet the owners, as there will be examples of each

Believe it or not the only pictures I've taken since I picked it up were from under a ramp in a workshop!

These are from the dealer showroom. Plus one from the ramp.

So far all good, a really enjoyable car to drive. It's comfort spec, manual, folding buckets, steels, pretty close to what I would have specc'd had I had the money and a dealer relationship in 2010.

THE engine and the only car along with the early 991.2 RS’s that it’s not gagged by a GPF.

Looks awesome, health to enjoy! When the time comes it will be a tough call between a 7.2 and 1.2 in terms of what to get, but the older cars still look fantastic imo.

At an independent but has full P history and still under extended warranty. I only paid £10k more for it 4 years ago so they are holding their money well.

Great colour/spec, its crazy how they're holding close to original price after 7yrs, mind you they're definately a stand out model for many reasons..

Congrats, would love to hear your comparison between the two, mainly as a road car if you are able?

There is nothing between the two as road cars IMO. The 992 is much more sensitive to geo being off - so make sure it has proper alignment and you are fine. It feels a tad firmer than the 991.2 but as long as it's in normal mode it works as well over less than perfect road surfaces than the 991.2. I still find the 991.2 the prettier car but the more modern front axle as well as the upgraded RWS on the 992 are clearly an improvement

Thanks , I have only driven it for a few hours but I love it so far........... I had a GT4 RS lined up to replace my 991.2 but after an extended test drive ( in the Alps no less !) I was very disappointed with the experience and the cabin noise was ridiculous , even on a normal drive. There is no way I could sit in that thing all day. Great on a trackday but for normal road driving.......not for me

.... this then led me on a search for a suitable 992 GT3 since before Xmas and slowly watching the prices decrease to semi normal levels again. I even discounted the new 3RS ( rightly or wrongly) for the same reason. I like a modicum of comfort for the sort of use the car gets. The only thing my 991.2 was missing for my perfect spec was cruise and BOSE but at the time , not a deal breaker. I`m older now !!

Anyway , I digress. Initial driving was the thing sticks to the road like glue. It feels more solid, more complete. There are no rattles or clonks from the cage. The cabin is a lovely place to sit and the new PCM 6 is night and day difference for me. Wireless android auto is great. I am not an Apple guy so had to make do until now. I think the new suspension hardware makes a big difference and I have read about peoples problems with the car feeling all over the place on B roads. Mine is well behaved and feels well within its limits even at excess speed. I wonder if the tyres pressures are to blame as there are 2 different settings for this , performance and everyday , the later being more inflated. Or maybe the alignment is a bit off from the factory on some cars. Who knows. The 4RS I test drove had to have an alignment as the owner was nearly spat off a bumpy road at not excessive speeds so went the Centre Gravity and they said that despite it being within porsche tolerances it was all over the place !!!

Shall I mention the noise ?? Yes , it is slightly muffled inside the cabin,. Less of the pops on the overrun and gear changes but I imagine it still sounds epic from the outside !! The difference inside between sports exhaust and normal is not alot and it doesnt have the swell of noise at around 4k revs if your short shifting through the box.

I`ll probably have more thoughts once I have got used to it and driven it some more and explored its potential further but for now, I am happy as can be. I bought my 991.2 when it was 2 years old for its initial RRP with a couple of thousand miles on and I have managed to do roughly the same again with this one which feels about right for me.

congratulations! I too had been watching for ages and jumped in at what I thought was sensible from OPC. What's the spec of yours? pics please!

What are the tyre pressures for everyday?
