Subtle it ain’t. I liked it, but can’t see me being brave enough to drive something so bold. Hats off to the owner.

The 964RS parked beside it however… yes

I have to agree with some of the earlier comments in this thread- I’m really not sure how much use the Dakar is in the U.K.
But I suppose that’s irrelevant in terms of its desirability.
Recently I saw a woman in a brand new Range Rover drive into the local Waitrose car park…..she attempted to get into a couple of different parking spaces before giving up and driving off because it was too big to fit in a space.
Also, last year I saw a bloke in Phnom Penh Cambodia driving around in a Lamborghini Huracan.

Personally I’d much prefer a gt3 Touring than a Dakar. If I wanted an off roader I’d get a G-Wagon

Probably never be able to afford but would love a Dakar as a daily especially on the crap country roads where I live!

What if you already have a GT3 Touring and G Wagon and want a bit of both as well?

I think these would look better lowered and without the rear spoiler and plastic wheel arch extensions.

Would folks here change the off road tyres to a road tyre if they knew the car would never go off road?

Yes, and at the same time change the badge from 'Dakar' to 'Turbo S'.

I agree on the spoiler, not a huge fan of that

having both a GT3 Touring and Dakar,
the 2 cars cannot be more different.
the Dakar has so much presence, and the tyres are also well suited for function.
pictures do not do the car justice. it is a very handsomer car.
perfect car for town driving and slip and rear slid country driving.
the GT3 is simply the best spirited drivers car ever..

looks lovely in that silver colour.
hope you are excited.
the exhaust note is so well tuned to the stature of the car.
a real gravelly grumble tone...
enjoy!!

Congrats on the cars, and it is all personal taste, but I disagree the 992 GT3 is the best spirited drivers car, not by a long chalk.

Although, a ‘base’ 992 would probably better than either of them.
Haven't driven a Dakar, but by far the best Porsche on UK roads for ride quality, is the Sport Classic.

What would be the point of that? It wouldn't be a Dakar then!
