Now that my base model is 4 years old I am looking at the Litchfield remap articles and YouTube videos.

Has anyone here actually had them do this and what has your experience been?

Any information welcome.

Thx

There are previous threads that you can look up on this.

I have done this as a 991.2 owner, but it’ll be very similar for the 992.

I bought a manual carrera in 2017 from new. In retrospect I should have waiting a few more months and opted for the GTS, but then the Litchfield option came along. I went for the remap and Akropovic exhaust (506bhp). It’s far more exciting to drive, given that the gear ratios remain. To complete the ‘GTS’ makeover I opted to fit a Wavetrack LSD and upgrade to GTS brakes, plus a few other bits. I was going to get Tractive suspension this year and start tracking it, but instead I’ve bought a Clío Sport for this season. Maybe next year.

It’s a nice option for you to have. You could even get a Cobb access port so that you can easily switch it back and forth to the standard map.

The negative is that you’d be risking any extended warranty, but then again the base model has less of the stuff that goes wrong, dynamic engine mounts, PDCC, rear wheel steer. Even better if you don’t have a sunroof.

I have had a 9e Map on my Carrera T for last four years, didn't worry about the warranty as 9e serviced the car. Mine is running 540ps, it also has full Kline system including Kline headers fitted.
