Don't be too surprised if the agreement you sign has a confidentiality clause in it that means you're not allowed to spill the beans.
Or what?

I doubt they'll be bending over backwards to do more business with a serial rejector.

Or whatever the agreement says. For example, repaying the amount they paid him over the trade value of the vehicle.

He may not have any strings attached to the offer. These things often do, though. Particularly if the dealer knows there's a thread on the internet about it and the Porsche 992 Turbo world won't be a big one.

Ask yourself this... why is Porsche legal involved in the signoff?

Assuming all goes through as promised to the op, the op has played a blinder and got what he wants, summarised as enjoying nigh on free use of a brand new £200k car for 6 months - not having to service it, change tyres or owt, just drive it for 2500 mikes and give the thing back on a technicality.

That the op has done this several times before to multiple manufacturers, 2 of which have involved handing the car back at no personal expense, points in my view to an individual that either can’t make up his mind, is super fussy, or is simply gaming the system. Fair play either way.

No, where the op has played a blinder is starting this thread on a public forum and revealing just enough detail for the OPC and Porsche to know that they need to shut this down asap before word gets out so to speak. Again fair play to the op, he’s played a blinder.

The moral question however, is that is it right what the op has done? Some of you say it is right, consumer law, expensive product, blah blah - the fact that it has a multi year warranty is irrelevant to them - if the car has a CEL within 6 months of purchase the op has a right to reject it. Fair enough.

My view and that of others is that the op will be rubbing his hands together and thinking - “who’s next”

As far I can see it happened to him with a McLareb in 2018.I am sure you will also tell us Macca were a paragon of reliability back then.
You don't know what personal expenses were involved in both cases.

You enjoy drawing conclusions and moral judgements about people you don't know based on very little evidence.

But you can't see that people could do the same about you based on a lot more evidence in this thread and others.

Good luck with the Roma purchase, while I don't have experience of the Roma, I think you will find that warning lights will likely be a constant in your future.
I just had a discussion with a friend yesterday, that I would pick a Roma over a Turbo S if I were in the market for such a car - just feels more special imo, even if it is ultimately a less accomplished (and probably slower) car, and I really like how they look - especially in "muted" colors (I don't think I would get a rosso corsa one, maybe one of the special reds though)

Edited to add: and always put it on a trickle charger, Ferraris hate low voltage on the battery (and somehow seem to pull more current than any other car I have ever had when switched off)

Fascinating Storyline. Can only add my first 992
back in 2019 had a lot of electrical issues which
the OPC sorted over time and never regretted keeping it primarily as a result of the service they provided

Mate, what is your problem!?

My posts are not directed at you they’re directed at the op, so why are trying to silence me? It really is none of your business and if the op isn’t offended why are you?

Get on with your life and ignore my posts because I don’t see individuals on forums, I reply to posts. Targetting individuals on the internet is the pasttime of bullies and trolls. I really am not that important in your life .

If there’s an ignore button, use it.

Says the guy who has repeatedly accused the OP of manipulating the system to get free high performance cars?

I think you've spent too much time at the cynic centre. The OP just wants a car that works.

Tbh I agree it was a shrewd move by the OP to post on here……thoughts?

And also laughed at the initial/very hopeful 40p a mile (£1000) deduction……

I thought you were being harsh on the OP, mainly.

Though you'll note the only thing I've actually called you out on is posting about being done with the subject and then repeatedly returning, and even then, I've not even made a comment about it.

Yeah and those of us who disagree with him are calling him out.

Or perhaps this is part of the OP's master plan to generate more publicity?

idea

Muzzer, you try very hard to engage me in an internet fight. You and a few others follow me around the forums disagreeing with me and trying to make things personal. I don’t bother with that nonsense as I’m a strong believer in putting in writing what I’d say to someone’s face and I don’t know you, so why bother with attacks?

My view is my view. I’ve expressed it - the op is not offended. Life goes on . Folk ganging up to attack me is really a waste of time. I’m not that important and I’d rather you debated with me rather than degenerate into jibes. Debate is more fun but I understand why you struggle with it. For some the internet is real life.

Oh well…

Who's engaging anyone in anything?

As for following you around, or ganging up on you - I think you inflate your own noticeability there I'm afraid.

You are entitled to your view, absolutely. I'm calling out the irony of you claiming you're being targeted but at the same time making some pretty strong assumptions about the OP.

If you're going to express your opinion, especially a strong one, expect it to be challenged.

I have never tried to silence you, nor have I insulted you with 'jibes'. confused

Having followed this thread, I can see why some posters are cynical towards the OP, and others supportive.
In life we don’t all see everything the same way.
