Enormous number of Spyders, both old and new, at the Goodwood Breakfast Club on Sunday morning - although probably twice as many 981s. A few pics:

Did you get a flank shot of LX16 JPJ? I'd like a better view of the decal.

My OPC didn't get around to fitting mine before I collected. They're now getting a company in to fit it.

The 987 without the decal doesn't look right. Amazing what a difference that makes.

Whereas I don't think the 981 Spyder suffers as a result of not having it? Would be good to see that car with the side-profile, as you say.

Sorry, I didn't. But I agree the 987 looks plain wrong without it, whereas the 981 doesn't suffer so badly. I think it's because the sill is higher on the 981 so it looks less slab-sided?

I'd still have the decals on the 981 personally - it sets the car off against normal 981s.

You say that but how do you know he doesn't go to DFS and look at the sofas just for fun?

I spotted it at Goodwood and had one of those "oh dear" moments...

Mind you, there were rather too many cars down there with "TOY" on the plate as well. Each to their own.

Any plate which is mis-aligned is a fail I think (and probably illegal?).

Very illegal, in fact, unlike a missing plate (which carries a £30 fine only), a misspaced/adjusted plate has a up to £1,000 fine and up to 5 points too (don't quote me on this, but it is something like that).

I believe that an 'adjusted' plate can also be confiscated.

That's right, it happened to my sister in law. She was lippy to the guys who pulled her over, and mentioned wrong spacing on the number plates. They did no more than unscrew her plates and told her it would be illegal to drive off! My brother had to leave work during the day, go home to get the various bits of paper and go to Halfords to get new plates!! It took hours!

Was told mine was at emden last Wednesday! And then from when it's physically on the dock in the uk! Guaranteed 5 days to the opc still waiting for news! Think I'm going to call them today again! No news is not good news! It's going to be a hot weekend!
