Great stuff - I decided to keep mine after all, too much of an emotional wrench to sell.
Hope the weather stays good for the weekend.
Ah Martin didn't realise you were a member here! I have only just gotten over missing out on your car so glad you kept it after all - it's an absolute stunner.Hope the weather stays good for the weekend.
Has anyone else noticed how the rear alloys appear to drift inwards in the middle, but the fronts appear to drift outwards in the middle? Not sure that's the best way of describing it but take a look at your alloys from the top down. Assuming it's something to do with the size difference.
So after 10months in a GT4 , a month in a stunning Targa GTS I'm now in a delivery miles ( well was ) Spyder . Just about run in now after 7 days and feels good so far. Performance feels pretty much the same apart from slightly less ultimate grip , but more than made up for by the noise . Hopefully weather stays good for NC500 in mid Sept .

I have considered this move but then I had the better car/convertible the 987 spyder! but I like coupes so the only next move is a 991 GTS or a backwards move 9*7.2 manual of course!GT4P said:

I intend to try both of the cars you mention in the next 12 -18 months . GT4 at 10 months was a recent record for me ! So a White manual 987 Spyder and a PTS 2wd GTS to tick off . Loving the 981 Spyder for the minute . WG said:
Yes 11.30. Do you live in the area then, I live in Keymer (Hassocks)
Yes, just down in Lancing. I was out with the PCGB local area chaps for breakfast at the airport before a drive round to Devil's Dyke. I think you saw us on the way home from there. Would be good to meet up and compare notes sometime - I only recently (6 weeks ago) bought the Spyder after 2 years in a 987.1 Cayman S. Loving the change so far...GT3cs said:

the problem is once you choose your favourite so does every one else!what do you replace what you have with but I always think are you a coupe or a convertible person?then go from there!

We met at Witton Castle the other weekend, mine was the Agate Grey Spyder with classic interior. I see you didn't manage to persuade Mrs GT3cs to go for the classic interior too!1606ian said:

Hi , good to hear from you . If your spec car was available I'd have took it in a heartbeat . Stunning. Best I've seen . Really classy . The Targa went last Wed so I needed to replace quickly and this car came up 20 miles away from where I was dropping the Targa off . Delivery Miles ish , heated buckets , PCM , Leather , Chrono etc etc and at a very reasonable price . I.e nowhere near starting with an 8 ! So it just all fitted together . Picked it up with under 200m . It's now got over 1000m in 6 days ! Ideally wouldn't have had white again after the GT4 but everything else added up .
Loving it so far ( as I do just about every Porsche I own ! ) , seems to fit between the GT stuff and the Targa . It's been a good few months ... What next .... (987 Spyder or 2wd 991 GTS please)

Has anyone been keeping an eye on the 981 Spyder classifieds and if any are selling ? its looking increasingly like I am going to have to sell mine which was never the original plan but sadly bricks and mortar may have to take priority
Same Spyders have been on sale for months on end now Simiilar picture for the GT4 tooI think either car at or very close to list could be the game changer to shift them just my opinion for what it's worth
I think everyone knows how brilliant these cars are to drive and listen too with the PSE on so at the right price they should fly out the showrooms or private ads
Good luck if you have to sell for bricks & mortar
really ? I had read that the GT4s were moving still ?
I checked last night and couldnt see any of the ones that were advertised last time i looked a month or so back, I recall there was a bogdoor blue one and voodoo that stood out so presumed that they had been sold .
I did see that 2 were marked as sold on pistonheads in dealers one at £84 and one at £87k , only one local to me is the red one at Newcastle that was on last time I checked but its an odd spec so I can sort of understand why its hanging around to find a buyer .
