why not start a " Prospective 981 Spyder thread" like we all did for the GT3 , GTS, GT4 etc
He is right, this started out as a 987 Spyder thread until the 981 owners kind of took over the show, there's bound to be some arguing over which one is better and why in a shared thread. Just open a new topic for the new car, problem solved.

Because there is one already. Use the search and you will realise that.

Edited to say I've even bumped it for you in the main forum - and you were the last contributor smile

Lol. Also it's interesting to see how many 987 Spyder owners don't seem to care about people talking about the 981.

Anyway, it's just a forum.....

This puts me off the classic interior package as I don't like the red behind the seats.

Helps narrow my choice. Shame as it could have been great. Red looks too bright, but could be photos also. I think GT Silver looks extremely classy on this car though.

I had the red interior in my last Spyder.
I tried, but just couldn't live with it..

I've just been dusting off my Guards Red Boxster S, ready for prom duties tomorrow night, and was thinking I still love this colour. May be I should change from CWM to GR for the new Spyder.......

Then you post this beauty smile

Now what confused
I know! I had ruled out red as it's quite shouty, but it looks amazing doesn't it?!
A Spyder should be quite shouty IMO just like a Lambo smile I think the bright colours work a lot better than the greys and blacks do on Spyders

lol not used since FEb, I am ok in the org and the best, seems the 981 boys could not give a toss. seems odd why new owners don't post info there then they would not have to read my dribble here ;-p

I suppose most have a broad enough outlook on life not to worry about the minor details of a web forum....

Back on topic, here's the Steve Sutcliffe Auto Express review hot off the press:

Nice read.

'The car you are looking at, Porsche's new £60,459 Boxster Spyder, could well be the most exciting sports car we've driven this year'

Quite telling that the esteemed Steve Sutcliffe considers the Spyder more desirable to drive and more agile than the GT4........driving

Heard this morning the Spyder is due to arrive at the PEC on the 15th of July for those who haven t yet seen it and want to take a peek.

Seems like someone who thought it was a 3.8L GTS with a crap roof system might have been slightly wide of the mark after all beer
