See Lightweight Buckets are now an option for the Spyder on config - £971.

£1907 on a GT4 laugh

Another decision to make smile

naming is confusing as ever...

Old GT2 folding bucket seat = Sports Bucket Seats

New 918-ish non-folding seat = Lightweight Bucket Seats / Full bucket seats

So, for buckets: fixed-height, heatable and foldable, or height-adjustable, not heatable and not foldable.

Another thing to consider after a trip to PEC to have the drive in August.

+1 I nailed down my final order in the the hope I could stop Agonising. Is this how it's going to be till Feb/March? The stress might be too much!

I think I prefer the regular buckets, and like the idea of them being heated.

+1 That's where I am.

To have the seats that are in the 918 will make this car a little more 'special', giving a further point of difference to the 987.

It's a risk to go that way for me, as I really do like the GT2 buckets from a comfort and appearance perspective, but I think the LWBs will help bolster future values.

What's the weight of the new buckets? Maybe can make room for Burmester laugh

Any weight saving on the actual seat is probably lost by the electric height motor. Be interesting to know whether there is some backrest adjustment on the lwbs via allen key as with the old buckets for those who find them too upright.

Unconvinced a 981 Spyder with the lwbs would be worth much more than one with the old buckets.

Also interesting to note whereas on the configurator the lwbs are described as leather/alcantara, the old buckets are leather only....confused

The 'old' buckets are still leather AND alcantara. You can see them in some of the pictures of Maria S in the blue Spyder.

Another good point as I am going against the trend for white, silvers or PTS and fairly convinced to go for the yellow so will be nice to see in the metal as it were.
Assume it has buckets.

Sorted.

LWBs in, folding heated buckets out.
Have had 3 Spyders and a 911GTS with the same folding buckets so it's good to have a change. I think.

Any idea which seat is more comfortable? Buckets is already a bit of a hard sell to the wife...

Trying to work out the pros and cons. I can live without the heating if the LWB are better. They certainly look very pretty.
