Is there a premium on a Spyder at the moment either for a physical car or confirmed order?

A bit hard to say at the moment I think, maybe need to try and ramp up the hype a bit first ??

Low Spyder producton numbers and GT4 premium will guarantee premium.

And the fact it's faster, lighter and better looking than GT4 smile

Topless cars are always more fun imo, but the Spyder has the better in cabin sound track to tune into roof up or down and crucially a heap less weight up high to have to haul around biggrin

Heap less weight? Really? - the normal Boxster roof weighs 11 kg - the Cayman roof doubtless a lot less (it's aluminium). There's no chance you'd notice that. On the other hand, you just might notice that a Cayman chassis is twice as stiff.

Whether topless cars are more fun is obviously a matter of opinion.

Looks great with black wheels and light colour.
Mine, Rhodium Silver with Black Wheels, is being built tomorrow!
Should be driving it the middle of next month, cannot wait!

The titanium wheels look far better IMO as you can see the wheel detail and it still hides the brake dust.

Final decision then. White or Rhodium? What do people think - anyone seen both in the real world.

White - my GT3 was RS and it was "OK" , but I would not order a car in RS again - TBH , I'd go Agate GT Silver or Black - nice car though , looks like it'll be a lot of fun smile

Silver does look good against white.

As some have noted, the silverstone car looked a little plain in GT Silver somehow.

If you want stealth/understated classy, then stick with Rhodium Silver. If you want the car to pop a little more, then I'd go for the spec above that cmoose has posted. It may be a flattering photo but it does look lovely!

Thanks for the advice - I have a white 987 Spyder so was thinking RS as an alternative. However, that white one does look good - just need to see one in Agate as well.

Mmmmm, thanks. Any other angles. That looks good and I suspect it's not its best profile...

I don't think it's the profile that's the issue. A lot of the pictures on here are taken up close with wide angle lenses (phones?) The result is that the perspective is all to cock and doesn't show the car at it's best.

Unfortunately I have no pics of my car yet but here are some screenshots from the configurator showing the Agate grey car I am waiting for with satin grey rims, PCCB, yellow stiching, lots of carbon etc. As far as i know there are no other Agate grey Spyder sold in Sweden. A fact that makes me happy wink

Actually ordered my Spyder in the 22nd of December 2014 based on unconfirmed rumors of a lighter Boxster with 3,8 "911 engine".
When the model was confirmed in April my delivery date was set to beginning of August. But due to the "P11 issue" I chose to postpone
my production slot to ensure the P11's. Last info from Porsche Center Stockholm is that the car will be built in week 43 and delivered to
me in Sweden mid/end of November. Can´t wait!
