Boxster Spyder
Discussion
Hi all - been bouncing around these forums for ages but I think now is the time for an informative first post.
Had word yesterday from my OPC of a confirmed build date for my Spyder - 15th October. Delivery roughly 2 weeks after that. I'm the first from that dealership.
I've had LWB configured since a few months back and haven't heard anything of any kind of delay. I haven't configured PTS though so I can't comment on that.
Off to the PEC on the 29th October because I booked it really late and all you guys have filled up the earlier slots... but hoping my car will be delivered pretty much the day after or very close so not much wait in-between!

Just back from my PEC day, drove one of the 2 GT Silver cars they now have.
Folding buckets, steel brakes.
Sounds great, drives great, performance and torque over the previous Spyder very obvious.
Also, discovered that if you press the unlock button on the key fob for a few seconds it releases the roof at the front and pops the rear boot.
Lifting the boot folds back the rear of the hood, allowing access.
Close the boot and keep the lock button pressed and it re-attaches the front of the roof.
So, you do indeed have access to both boots without having to completely stow the roof.

Excellent news and one of the 1st UK spec cars I am sure - what chairs did you order
Adaptive sports - didn't go for buckets as I'm intending to do some touring. Buckets are superb for track but wife is less enthusiastic for longer trips - had to buy a frilly pillow on a euro trip - looked like a pensioner's Micra woodysnr said:
Can I ask who that is with ...I just received a call from my OPC and was told no extra allocation available and that was direct statement from Porsche Reading passed to then as the DP was down at HQ for a meeting last week .
Sorry but I would rather not disclose the OPCI had a deposit down and when I was told no chance ever I had it refunded
But somehow I am lucky
And now smiling
Been told that pdk is not coming so manual it is
