lol pot , kettle and all that st, you quoting how much richer you will be to another owner by choosing the Spyder !!!
personal abuse always comes out , that's a shame !
I don't need to be richer thank you, it was a comment that was valid due to the hit you'll take on a GTS over a spyder, as I said, its not the only reason for having a spyder as it looks nicer as well to my eye. Financially it makes a better decision as you can have your cake and eat it to some extent.personal abuse always comes out , that's a shame !
There was no need for your flippant comment.
I'll say not more on the matter but you should shut your cake hole a little and conform to a little forum etiquette.

Getting back on topic, am test driving the Evora this weekend, so that will make an interesting comparison to the Spyder I'm picking up next week....
Still undecided what to do detail/protection wise. Part of me just says to accept the front bumper will be re-sprayed during the life of the car, and being guards red I hope it wouldn't be that hard to match? What are people doing?
Got a load of fairly mundane trips I need to make that will be done to break in the Spyder.

I can't see why anyone would want a Spyder over a gts if using as a daily.
Because it's a great road car with distinctive looks that works fine as a daily driver - and you also get the benefit of it being an absolute bandit on track with the extra bhp. A proper dual purpose vehicle. W12JFD said:

As a dry (open) weekend car and occasional track day car I can see it has considerable appeal - but daily driver? Depends what your daily drive involves, but with the hood up the rear vision is bad and three quarter vision worse. Anyone who has driven a Lotus Europa S2 one up (I did for two years) will know that turning right out of an angled junction is extremely fraught - you can see nothing to the left - and the the Spider is every bit as bad. Unless you always turn left or drive two up you will have problems! I disagree with the bad vision comments, after owning my spyder over 3 years I never found the rear vision an issue, granted it's not as good as 4 door hatchback but you do get use to it!perhaps that is why also I didn't find the gt4 with its wing an issue but rear parking sensors would be helpful for both 981 spyder/gt4
Dr Doom on here bangs on about the Lotus Evora 400 - well I drove one today and I have to say it's a great car. Very brief comments here:

I appreciate it is supposed to compete with the 911, but will be interesting to compare with the Spyder nonetheless. The mid engined feel really reminded me of the 981 of course.
Mine's in now but will be collecting 1st December as have to go out of the country. Anyone had a guards red one delivered in the UK?
