Hey all... trying to gather info for PTS Spyders... Thought it would be great to to track each spec and location. This is what I have so far. If you want to be added to the list feel free to reply and I'll add you to the list.

Interesting list - if only because of the number of blues that have been picked.

My thinking on the Riviera was that the Spyder needed something a little different and none of the standard colours really rocked my boat. I wasn't brave enough to go for any of the Greens - Toyed with Viper! As people take delivery and post pictures I now realise that the car will take almost any colour.

Been trying to decide if to have Silver or Yellow stitching with my Riviera Blue. It would appear from that list that it's about 50 /50 with blue cars. I was told, just this week, that lock downs not till Feb so I have a little time to go yet.

Interedting you managed to get PTS - I wish . When did you order ? Yellow stitch would work well with RB -

Either way , you're miles ahead of me - I'm still struggling to choose an exterior colour (again!) Anyone who's seen any in the flesh , please let me know what you think - lockdown v v v soon. Aghhhhhh smile

I knew I was allocated one way back in May and added the PTS almost the same week it became available, sometime about June I think. Not getting mine till early April. I'm not worried by the delay but I do envy you RSVP for getting your earlier. I know what you mean about agonizing over the colour. Though expensive PTS was a bit of a god send and the delay has made it easier to pay for smile

If it helps (and I know it wont smile) I had a GR 987 Spyder, looked great and the colour does not change in the flesh as it does in photos. I thought of going for Agate Gray but couldn't help but see a hint of brown in it. The Sapphire Blue wasn't quite 'WOW!' enough and at this point I started going around in circle, like you.

I don't think it will matter greatly. I loved the shape of the 981 Boxster when it was first released and the Spyder (imo) is even better (though in truth it does look like it has a bit of an overbit issue) we're set to get a fab car whatever colour we have.

Cheers - I wouldn't worry about the April thing - perfect timing i'd say , I don't particularly want mine so early - but also not complaining either way, happy to have one whenever . Probably a good thing PTS isn't open to me as all I'd do is agonise even more - can't be trusted when choosing a colour - blows my tiny little mind ! In truth , I'd go GR like a shot , but my other half hates it and unfortunately apparently , she's never wrong frown

Timbo,
Can I get the following info from you? Would love to add your info to the list.
-Color = Riviera Blue
-Int Color = Black
-Stitching = ?
-Wheel Color = ?
-Brake Type = ?
-Location = ?

Super excited to see all these PTS Spyders be built!

Oh and I would go Silver Stitching... Note that the yellow paint color on the brake calipers is more orange than the yellow color of the stitching and belts (they do not match like the reds do). Plus I think it is odd to have the chrome Spyder logo on the sides of the rear hatch and then see the yellow embroidery next to it... clashes a little... This is all my opinion and I acknowledge that mine is just that and I appreciate differing opinions. Just wanted you to be aware as most don't know the colors don't match.

The whole colour thing is tricky , I tend to change my mind almost daily - trouble is they all look different in various photos and also in real life , depending on the light - I've gone :

Metallic Black , then Agate (both with yellow hilights) , followed by GT Silver with Red inside (+ Steels) , back to , Met Black (yellow highlights) Now debating Agate once more (Yellow highlights) . It's a bloody nightmare - dealer must be about to kill me (understandably) The good news is my wife has put a stop on Guards and White , which is good as this has made it a tiny bit easier smile
If you decide not to go PTS, would you consider swapping build slots? Mine is due April and I go into lock down early January, but no PTS option.

Sorry - just realized you don't have PTS either!

Stitching: Silver - You make some good points. In fact so good I'm sticking with the Silver. You know this forum does do good things sometimes smile. I could cope with the Red seatbelts in my previous Spyder but I would never have gone for solid yellow belts vomit (But each to there own)
Wheel Colour: Platinum
Brake Type: PCCB -yes I know it doesn't need them but I'll probably never build my own Porsche again so what the heck!
Seats: LWB
Location: Midlands, UK

By the way you might want to update your profile I PP you this morning Navanod

PTS = Paint to Sample... Which isn't quite true. Porsche have a list of more extreme colours.

Lol!

Ok, 640 miles in. Averaged 29MPG on a 4+ hour 220 mile trip, with a little London driving at the end. I was driving like a grandad most of the way in the wet. Still not accelerated past 4.5k yet but can start to open it up a bit from now on...

Wow PDLS+ is brilliant. It was a slightly unnecessary option. It remains non essential, but it's a great little feature!

DAB / Radio reception is terrible. Do wonder if there's something wrong with the radio (cue "listen to the flat six" comments!).

I notice on a lot of forums people mentioning Viper Green and the list above some have ordered.

I always wonder do they really want Viper Green or did they want the 'Green' from the GT3 RS 997. A lot of people seem to think its the same when its completely different side by side.

As you were...sorry just a random thought came to mind.
