I kind of do! Emailed my OPC to confirm my lock date.
What spec did you go for on the spyder Mark?http://www.porsche-code.com/PG2R3DL3
Might have to go back to Satin Black wheels though.

Hi Mark, had a look at your spec, looks good I was going white until the last minute. I have seen my car for the first time today and I was a bit nervous about the Sapphire Blue (Porsche code PG61CYU8) Would I change anything in my spec? Yes, no regrets on the colour but would go for full leather. The black wheels make the car look a bit more aggressive (more GT car), the silver a bit more sophisticated. The only change I would make in your spec is to go for Auto Air Conditioning. I had the manual in my last Boxster, a real pain, I was always fiddling with it to get the temp just right. Whatever you decide will be great.DS240 said:
I don't think registration now will really make a difference. It's a rare enough car that anyone interested in buying later can see between the lines and the registration game will have no substantial effect on pricing. With the additional factor about being a good customer for future (desirable model) supply, it may be worth more in real terms than playing the reg game. (Though you'd think it's us doing them a favour coming in and buying from them, not the other way around).
Going on to 987 Spyder talk..... Browsing the Internet, came across this. Makes me wish I'd had the extra funds to go pts at the time. This would have been my option; speed yellow. Really regret it not being a standard option at the time as it was on the Cayman R.
Can only be 1-2 of these in this colour in the world, if not the only one!
Wish I'd done it and just found the extra money from somewhere. Damn it.
Thanks everyone on comments re registration strategy - to sum up - I think its a small risk worth taking to say thanks to the dealer for thier allocation support - all good advice - cheers Going on to 987 Spyder talk..... I specified that with dual zone climate because it can get uncomfortably hot in a coupe so good to have some degree of control.
I wasn't so keen on Sapphire on the GT4 but I think it works really well on the Spyder and the Satin Black wheels are the best choice with it. Leather does add to the overall feel but it does push the price up, especially when you add contrasting stitching, so I can totally understand why you didn't spec it.
There are always some choices you wish you could remake. It's just inevitable

I really wanted a Riviera 987.2 Spyder. Must have spent hours drooling over this...
Hey, I was the original owner of that Riviera Blue Spyder... Bought it from So-Cal, had it shipped up to Oregon. It currently resides in New Hampshire with it's current owner (3rd). I think it still has less than 5k miles on the clock! It was 1 of 1. Only 4 PTS were approved for the 987.2 for the USA.Navanod said:
