A lot more that's being touted on here by owners ;-) most OPC got more cars just like they did GT4 and RS's.
My OPC got 7 Spyders ! as an example.
The difference is there was no demand for Spyder. Everyone was chasing the GT4. Cardiff sold 2 or 3 cars not because they couldn't get more but because until the recent interest there was no demand. My OPC got 7 Spyders ! as an example.
I'd still bet on less than 100 in total.

well done Andy , I bought the Blue one at Solihull , delivery Thursday for some summer fun .
Nice one spice! Fab looking Spyder, was very tempted myself by this one, but decided not to at 15K(!) over list, might have been more tempted by 10%(!!!) so sounds like you might have got Solihull to come down a little, well done!I still can't decide between a Spyder or a 991 GTS, the prices on Spyder's are kinda putting me off, plus probably need just the one car for a while.

I would say closer to 170, but time will tell, it was always going to be 150 anyway and my OPC got 7.I'd still bet on less than 100 in total.
Demand was lower, if you wanted one you got one really, the cars just kept coming.
Hi Pasta , got a good cash deal in the end , would have been a bit better if i traded in my 991 C4S as they would have had a return on that , but that is such a fabulous machine i just could not let it go , going to have some summer fun in the Spyder and avoid putting miles on my F355 , only 17300 on that .
dried up today so managed to get the roof down and had a quick ride round the block, exhaust didnt seem to be as loud with top down unless thats just me getting used to it . Anyway grabbed a couple of pics while I was out.
I dont think I would have chosen the red trim had I specced this car but must say I really like it and am pleased it has it rather than black, getting back in my other car is like jumping into a sea of darkness !

M33 is correct on less than 100 Spyders....most are aware there are around 80 UK Spyders compared to a forcasted 350 GT4s.

looks great; be careful on the number plate spacing I was fined for a spacing issue :-(

The red trim looks great. If I had seen some proper pictures of it before I finalised my spec then I would have probably have gone for it also. However not with the Sapphire Blue that would have also needed to be changed.

JeffC - looks very striking with the black wheels & red interior. I wasn't brave enough to spec classic interior but have CWM with black wheels, black interior with the silver stitching on order. Hope you are enjoying your new purchase.
Did you also go with silver belts and door pulls? They do look good.Sorry to say that Spyder owners are not spoiled for tyre choice - having trashed the OE Pirellis in three track days some research shows options are limited to Michelin Super Sport or Yokahama v105.
I wonder if the rapid tyre wear is due to not specifying light weight bucket seats?
Michelin Pilot Cup 2s are unavailable for the front axle but fine for rear - harrumph!
Interestingly Porsche Chester are cheaper for Pirellis than mainstream tyre merchants. I've a new set going on ready for Donington on Sunday - anyone coming? Yip Yip

Your OPC must have done something different to mine.My OPC got 7 Spyders ! as an example.
I have a great relationship with 2 OPCs and this wasn't their experience, both had demand outstripping supply, certainly at the end (i know I've said this before).
Long story short - despite paying a deposit and speccing my car, I was too far down the list to be given an allocation in the November/December release but was offered at GT4 instead, I declined, held out and very luckily got a cancelled order for a Spyder.
I don't know why the Spyder was a slow burner initially (any thoughts?) but towards the end 2015 you couldn't get one by simply rocking up to your dealer with £5k.
Whether 3 or 7 per OPC, I'm still somewhat surprised how low the numbers are for an 'affordable' Porsche despite the GT4 comprehensively beating it in the residuals war.
Apologies if we're just round in circles.
