Did you also go with silver belts and door pulls? They do look good.
Ummmm. Couldn't quite make up my mind how they would go with the interior white paint. So have left them out (so far).
I've gone red stitching, belts and door pulls on my new one. I used to have a 987.2 Spyder with the silver belts and pulls - looked class.

Not a great pic but looked good in the flesh.

I have the standard pulls on mine. They look naff, with hindsight I would spec coloured pulls / belts

Well...you'll get the door pulls with the stitching so it'll just cost you for the silver belts. I definitely would smile

True. Was going to email OPC to add the net wind deflector so will get these added as well. Good suggestion.

I've never had red stitching (went with platinum on the GT4), so thought I'd try it on this Spyder. Red belts are a bit MG Metro but in for a penny! biggrin

My first spec that went over to OPC was GR with red stitching, red seat belts - this will also work well with the white exterior you are having. For me it was a very close decision between the silver or red stitching - both work well.

Yes, should be fine and, and it ties in with the caliper.

dried up today so managed to get the roof down and had a quick ride round the block, exhaust didnt seem to be as loud with top down unless thats just me getting used to it . Anyway grabbed a couple of pics while I was out.

I dont think I would have chosen the red trim had I specced this car but must say I really like it and am pleased it has it rather than black, getting back in my other car is like jumping into a sea of darkness !

I have to say that looks epic - I love it smile Think the colour coded air intakes make a real difference - it's all in the details with these things - enjoy smile

.

M33 is correct on less than 100 Spyders....most are aware there are around 80 UK Spyders .
nice idea of only 80, but as I said my OPC had 7, even if all 34 only had 3 that's 102 but as many got 5 or more and some 7, 80 is dream number, but then you love it as you have one and did the same with the GT3 talking those up week on week early doors.

the org Porsche press release for the UK was 150 cars and as normal people seem to turn up with orders, upon orders.

Porsche are great at doing this and letting loads more cars out once the hype and build up has come, then every one ends up wit ha car and Porsche sell 100's.

Nice business model.

And of course we all paid RRP, who ever pays list on a car FFS, were we conned ? yes imo the whole GT3, GT4 , Spyder thing was a bit of a mess.

but the hype sold all the cars !!!!

VERY nice.

What tyres came on your Spyder? Do they tend to come with a single brand or can it vary?

I have Michelin CUP 2's on the GT4 but some came with a Dunlop option.

Yes, I would think it works quite nicely! smile

IMO some cars end up with low depreciation purely by luck of the draw. If people are clamouring to buy a car in the hope of rarity value that seems counter-intuitive to me. They ain't gonna remain rare when there's a factory which can churn them out, dealerships which like selling high margin cars and customers waving their money about.

"I'm sorry Sir, our strictly limited edition of 500 cars has sold out already. Would you like to place an order for our next strictly limited edition of 500 cars with the different colour brake calipers and revised exhaust trim?".

Numbers

Initially heard 3 Spyders per dealer. Then the larger dealerships 7-9 cars.
I know of many people who got their LOI in with a deposit who never got within in sniff of getting one.
Even in the early days there was a long que at my local dealership. My Guesstimate around 170 C16 cars.

With regard to numbers there is no answer its all speculation no one knows , there are loads that have not been registered yet so we cant possibly know the true figure ,we should however know later in the year once everyone has taken delivery and got them registered , one thing we know for sure there is considerably less Spyders than Gt4s , as said Opc's I spoke with said roughly for every 4 Gt4s there was only one Spyder sold . So even if you doubled that figure 2/4 its still half as many.

Anyway day off for me today, suns out, so Im off to put some miles on mine, just hope Mrs C's backside fits in the Buckets , we havnt had a trail fit yet hehebiggrin

Dealership needs a trial seat in the showroom, like those theme parks in Florida - "If you don't fit you don't ride"! smile
