Let's talk front number plate - if we don't bother what happens if we get caught ? Cheers smile
Why not leave the rear one off as well - then you can't get caught!

I keep getting conflicting answers, would you put decals under or over PPF?

Cheers

My OPC volunteered that quite a few of their customers elect not to fit a front plate. They said it was a £30 fine.

That does look particularly clean without the plate.

Arrraggg. Having a day smile Has anyone gone for or seen an Agate Grey Spyder? So initially I thought Sapphire Blue, then quickly changed to GR & thought I settled on CWM. A good friend & car nut said what on earth am I thinking about white. He just thinks its too in ya face.

Wow, Agate looks amazing. Think Sapphire Blue would look great as well.

White looks so boring IMHO.

Great day at Donington - car dances through Craner - roof down is a blast - downside is new pads after 4K miles and 4 track days!! Not the cheapest of track cars to run so far.
Did you get any data or on board video from Donington ? curious to what sort of speeds you get up to and what sort of lap times a Spyder will do ?

I know! Think that what makes it so hard tbh. I would even consider black (my fav colour generally for any Porsche), but current 997 is black, previous 996 turbo was black & beemer before that was black; so would quite like a change. Decisions!

Didn't have any timing gear, just (slightly nervous) passenger feedback - over 100mph through Craner and 132mph on Starkeys but without mastering Coppice. It was my first time at Donington- Brake pads wore out in morning so no afternoon session. I'm nowhere near as good as the car so expect more from a decent driver!!!

Agate grey was on my short list before I settled on sapphire blue. I saw an agate grey GT4 in the local OPC and it looked fantastic. The fact is they all look fantastic when they are clean and polished. I also think Black would look good and with the yellow stitching / leather sort of "Bat Mobile" http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/4.gif

I was Sh***ing myself before I saw it just in case I got it wrong.

Happy now but think about the Bat Mobile- how brave are you? do you want to stand out ??

Not brave, just insured. Long gearing helps as well smile

Definitely need better pads... Wish I'd gone with PCCB now.

OK - I saw an Agate one in the flesh a day or so ago and unfortunately it looks kind of ,"uh ok fair enough " rather than "wow that's stunning" - it's a bit bland (I was disappointed as the image you posted looks lovely) I have also seen them in White and they look very good due to all the contrasting black . I also don't think white is a "look at me" colour what so ever - boring if anything , but it does work very well on the Spyder. I also think it looks good in Guards Red (with black wheels) and the colour I'm going for GTSM with the red interior ) Also the White looks really good with red as would black (however I think you'll loose the humps in black )

So : GTSM or GR or White - but not Agate IMHO ( & I'm an Agate fan - looked epic on the GT3 and the GT4 - I think it's something to do with losing the roof on the Spyder )

This site may help smile

132mph is motoring a bit, I was actually wondering how many times you would need to change gear but at those speeds 4th gear will be into play, I almost think at Croft my local I could do the track and only change gear once the gears are that long !
my Spyder feels quick even running it in, but im curious how it will fair on track against my old Honda Crx track car , I raced the Honda at donny back end of last year and think I peaked at 126 mph on the data logger up Starkeys.

True. Can't believe how many times I have changed my mind. The Spyder looks good in all the colours.
