Is anything else having a problem with 'circle marks' on their roof after it's been down for a while? There's two rubber stoppers in the boot which seem to be the culprit. Not sure if this will cause long term damage? Anyone else seen it?
Yes. Mate's Spyder is the same too.Collected my car today. I LOVE the sound it makes! How did they make it pass whatever noise tests it needed to pass? The thing crackles, pops and bangs. Softer than a GT4 and steering seems lighter but I think it is a better road car, especially on days like today. The red leather and black alcantara of the "classic" interior looks stunning and really lifts the cabin, perfect match to GT Silver paint. Back out in it first thing tomorrow!

Best car on the planet is Carrera GT
Not qualified to comment on that unfortunately - what my post should have said is the 992.2 RS is my favourite out of all the cars I've ever owned / driven - schoolboy error. Glad you're happy with the Spyder - perfect weather for a rag top today , enjoy daro911 said:

I hope I can get a Spyder like this one day... Amazing cars! You could always buy this one, lovingly run in for 128 miles

Looks like a few still to be delivered ..I got mine last weekend and enjoying it only done 130 miles so have to watch the revs ...The gear change is sweet not as notchy as my 987 short shift, sound is amazing but feel one could get fed up with it on extended run ,a lot less wind noise inside up to the legal limit. It is a stunning looking car but the old one beats it hands down for the rear ,watch out it is much lower that the old one and could present a problem in some areas.

Getting a lot of heat from SWMBO - apparently the clutch is too heavy ,: what can I say .....
Either way in the interests of my marriage - can it be adjusted ?
Cheers
Tricky one - doesn't that just mean you'll get to drive it more yourself though ?? Either way in the interests of my marriage - can it be adjusted ?
Cheers
Or are you implying it doesn't work like that !!
987 Spyder tyre chat.......
Wear isn't too bad, but at 6 years old I feel my current pilot sport 2 tyres are not at their best. Steering feels like it's lost a bit and rear grip seems quite edgy at times.
Michelin website still just recommends the PS2 as the only option on the spyder, even though other N types are available in the size.
I did read recently that getting the latest tyre may not necessarily be the best thing for an older car, supposedly developed to work with the older tyre. The setting may not suit the newer tyre. What's peoples thoughts on that?
Have any of you run different tyres on your Spyders?
Read good things about the Super sport and now the newer Pilot Sport 4.
