Great morning at Goodwood yesterday.

My lad was 18 on Sunday, so treated him to some Spyder fun !!
(from the passenger seat of course....)

Nice photos.

By the way, what was the noise limit at Goodwood and how did you fair?

My friend Brian chatted to you briefly I think. You garaged next to his Cobalt Blue 964.

I really dont get it, what possible fun can anyone get from seeing an extra £20k sat in a high interest account earning 1% a year compared to having Something like a Gt4 or Spyder to jump into and drive or just look at every time you open the garage door, in my head makes far more sense to enjoy what you work for, selling cars are my business and what puts food on the table, but heart rules over head with this one and I will keep it until I need to sell it and it will sell for what its worth , no price on smiles !

Btw worth mentioning if someone buys a car with the intention of selling it on for profit , the profit from the sale is liable to be taxed .

ha, would like to see HMRC prove it if you don't have a history of selling multiple cars each year.

Pretty sure it was 105, and I was tested at 103 with PSE turned off.
I did get a warning when giving it over 7k + up the straight though and was asked to short shift.
I left the car in normal setting too as feel the exhaust makes more noise with S or SP mode engaged even with the PSE off.

So it's marginal, but didn't get sent home biggrin

collecting a car from Porsche then advertising it same day for £20k more with 2 miles on the clock should be pretty conclusive but hard for hmrc to prove but would imagine something you would only get away with once.

And the current owner already has a very rare car (nudge nudge, wink wink etc).

You know I'm with the 20k in the bank at 1% argument....

It's actually £90k in the bank if the owner paid cash. And he could well need that money to pay for his new GT3 RS. Where's that tumbleweed icon when you need it...

I went back to marsh asking if I could reduce the market value so that tracker wasn't required. They basically said that in the event of a claim if I knowingly adjusted the market value so as to avoid a tracker in could potentially cause issues down the line & worst case invalidate my insurance.
Try NFU. No tracker and set value at 90k and reasonable price with full ncb. approx £600 ish. 2 yrs also replacement cover .
Just another choice. Pick up mine Thursday!!!

Exactly - I wish she drove it more . What are your first thoughts btw ? smile
R, I love the car. Only has 200 or so miles and the engine is quite tight with relatively little mid range grunt - but it is just so much fun. Not too much power but enough. Rolls and moves around. Great steering, in fact the car feels like it pivots on its axis with a bit of power and some steering lock applied. And the noise it makes - just wonderful but also loud and where the hell did they make those pops and bangs legal? smile

The red/black leather and alcantara interior is a special place to sit as well. A great, honest, fun car. I prefer it to the GT4. Also unlike the RS, you don't need to drive like your hair is on fire to enjoy it.

Yep that about sums it up - completely agree with this - it gets better as it loosens up - I'm over 2000 miles in mine now smile

That is quite loud and with everything turned off would dilute the experience for me somewhat. I guess you will have to be selective as to which TD's you do.
