Thanks Wishbone - Car was delayed several times by Porsche then I changed spec literally at lockdown and that pushed me back another 8 weeks but tbh getting a very late car just in time for summer 2016 was worth it in the enddaro911 said:
Congratulation one fit looking Spyder - Hope yours came with all the manuals mine came with none at all!
No manuals yet! To follow apparently...though I probably wouldn't read them anyway! Still getting to grips with the roof, but my first 30 miles were very enjoyable! This is going to be a good summer!
The hood closing instructions are a bit misleading see section 5
Close the luggage compartment (don't ) leave it slightly a jar .Close it fully when you have completed instruction 10 the C clip .
I found the locking clip C kept missing the catch at the front .Doing it this way it now closes o-k

There are also two black plastic handles inside to pull the roof down, which are directly above the driver and passenger seats as you look up. Close the luggage compartment (don't ) leave it slightly a jar .Close it fully when you have completed instruction 10 the C clip .

Will try this at some point and report back ..no where in the instructions does it say use those to pull the hood down an omission on Porsche's part I would think .

Saw them thanks ...on the assumption that you are in the car yourself you would need to be some kind of contortionist to pull the handles down and pull button C at the same time .

I think the trick isn't about the boot lid - it's about giving it enough time when you lift the roof over for the arm to extend (this is complete when the roof motor stops making a noise) - if you are to quick the roof doesn't get close enough to the windscreen , as the clasp hasn't fully extended and it catches on the clasp holder and this is why you get the issue - it's slowly , slowly , catchy monkey at this point - watch it as you lift over the roof and you'll see what I mean .Will try this at some point and report back ..no where in the instructions does it say use those to pull the hood down an omission on Porsche's part I would think .

Also re handle : left hand on button , right hand on roof handle straight above your head - not an issue
