Boxster Spyder
Discussion
If you don't like that, (and I do - I have the red interior on my white 987 Spyder) there was a new 718 Boxster in the showroom - racing yellow, red roof, red Interior, yellow seat belts and yellow dials. Horrendous - there ought to be a Good Taste team at the factory to stop this happening !!!

Big fan of the red in the 981 Spyder , it always looks crap in pictures but in real life is a deep rich , Lux colour - works really well with GTSM , Agate and Black. Also the 981 lower area and steering wheel in Alcantara work much better on the new model - all IMHO of course WG said:

Well at least it hasn't ruined a good car. RSVP911 said:

as above, after looking at pics I would never have been brave enough to spec the red Classic interior and as there wasnt really any other choice I had originally specced black which was the last colour I had wanted having had boring black leather in every car I have owned in the last 30 years! for some reason the red doesnt seem to photo well but have to say having now lived with the red trim for 7 month and looking at other cars with the standard black trim I would certainly choose the same again, it just lifts the interior and looks fantastic in the flesh and the alcantara works so well with it , the standard 981 where everything is red isnt my thing at all, I had one as a courtesy car a few years ago and think that was what had initially put me off, the car I had on loan looked like someone had slipped while carrying a bucket of red paint over and thrown it over everything, mats , belts , carpets , dash , steering wheel even the dials were red , awful .WG said:
I don't know what you are looking at DS 240 but if you look at the mid sussex web site the car is listed as I said originally, manual, 6000 miles at £51500
Sorry, found it now.Clicked on link to Sytner mid-Sussex which have a black spyder at 49,500.
Porsche mid Sussex car looks good spec. Not fastest selling colour combo though.
Both cars though high 40's. Would be interesting to see where they sell though.

I think that looks stunning with Gt Silver.
Agreed! Love the combo - here's mine. As RSVP says in real life the red is a deep rich colour and not bright red at all. Goes brilliantly with GT Silver. Much better than boring black interior. RSVP911 said:

Did think about ordering Red Classic but could not bring myself to do so. Probably would have done so had the Dash been left in black/grey material.davidc1 said:
I was not aware when i ordered my spyder you could spec full leather. I blame my crap salesman! Not a massive fan of alcantara.
You couldn't because it is a very deeply hidden option that required special request to the Exclusive Department to get it through the hoops with the factory. I like you really wanted a full leather bucket with heated seats and was able to pursue this option directly with Porsche once the sales person told me it wasn't available or possible I do believe its the only Spyder made to have this option talking of which does anyone know the final UK allocation and final w/wide figure

That's lovely - you should've got leather sunvisors too, then you could admire the perfect stitching whilst doing your hair. I do believe its the only Spyder made to have this option talking of which does anyone know the final UK allocation and final w/wide figure
