Boxster Spyder
Discussion
Really nice pictures, I just completed the NC500 in my Boxster GTS, was awesome. Didn't see you but saw other Boxsters, I was in a group of several cars.
My car was fault less, I didnt feel the need for more power through these roads, it was great to work the car/engine. However I sat in the Cayman GT4 that was with us and had Carbon Bucket seats, I would really like them. I have seen in the Spyder they are heated, is that correct? The Porsche options list shows these at 4K, but doesn't say anything about them being heated. I also found the steering wheel to be too big, I have asked my OPC for the cost of a Spyder steering wheel, Im expecting it to be ridiculous. Ceramic's or just better pads would have been better, as I was getting mild fade at some points. Just not sure if i should add seats, steering wheel and better brake pads for crica 5.5K to my BGTS, or dump in another 15K and go Spyder. I already have manual and X73, on the straights i guess abit more power would be better.....
Are the brakes bigger on the Spyder? From the 911?

I would tune the gts esp as it's manual and x73
A working roof is a godsend IMO and now it's winter a double skin roof again nicer.
You can get 370bhp from the GTS no issue and would be a more complete car.
Only way I would keep a GT4 or 981 spyder would be to release the real 420bhp of that engine and prob fit a lightweight flywheel with it.

Jens quoted me €5K for 360hp and €9K for 375hp. Add that to a set of bucket seats and it's near on 15K. That's close to jumping to a Spyder. A working roof is a godsend IMO and now it's winter a double skin roof again nicer.

€5K Jens said I think to take a Spyder or GT4 to 420hp.
I do like the flexibility with my Hood. Tempted to try a Spyder and a GT4. The car is not a daily. Just a weekend hoover.
