We have a winner - interesting though, to me , this just shows what fun they are - I find mine impossible not to drive - bargain of the century smile

Me too, any excuse to get behind the wheel, I have been using it to visit future customers when quoting for work! I have to hide it round the corner! Usual comments otherwise! You know the score, they expect you to arrive in an allegro! Ha ha

Enjoy! They are amazing. I've been in Beverley Hills for two weeks and seen countless Ferraris and Lambos but no 981 Spyders (although did see 987 Spyder in its natural habitat).

Lovely and congrats. It seems we have very similar taste in cars! I did around 200 miles in mine today top down - such a brilliant experience.

Followed a white 65 plate Spyder out of Salisbury on the A30 around 5pm today. Looked and sounded great!

Comparison to a GTS: the Spyder has lighter steering bizarrely, even though the steering wheel is actually smaller... you can also tell the difference in the steering feel. The GTS steering never wriggled in your hands, but in the spyder the steering just wiggles to give you a little more communication about whats happening. You can also definitely feel the difference in power, something that I didnt really expect. The engine also sounds deeper, especially from low down. Both amazing cars, but if the spyder gets a 10/10, then the GTS gets 9/10... almost as great! there is also something more special about the spyder.... it might be something to do with the tent over your head providing no sound insulation to the outside world, but there is something about it... Really really over the moon with the car!

Thanks for that. GTS is surely a great car too...

Did your Cayman come with PASM? That may further explain the steering change aside from the smaller wheel, and shorter 911 turbo rack in the Spyder.
