Only that it had a deposit put down on it at 9am this morning after only going live yesterday afternoon.... Would have had that! Was £45900.

Sorry that would have been me . Purchased with very little info on the car . Saw it at 7am on the configurator , rang my OPC 8:30 to see if we could work something out with the GTS I did have on order and bingo I now own a Spyder I know very little about !

Didn't realise it only went live yesterday afternoon .

Nice work and a very well priced car by the sounds of it! How many miles does it have on it ?

11,300 miles. Seemed a fair price from a OPC . Alloys have been refurnished all black rather than standard silver but that can be sorted later. I'm sure their will be some problem when it turns up......

Thank you GT3cs.

On what has been an all round sty day, I've been made a little happier by reading about someone who saw something they want and went ahead a bought it.

It's nice to know there are people out there that still go 'you know what? fk it I'm going to buy it'.

You told the other half ! Amateur mistake . As long as it's a similar colour and still a Porsche she doesn't seem to realise .

More importantly what have you added to the collection ? And has anything been pushed out .

Hopefully this Spyder is fun as your feedback over the years was one one of the main drivers for trying one . Space allowing it would be good to be able to hang onto it when GT3 comes .

I did not tell her, that's the issue lol I got a Golf ClubSport :-) it is mega.

I might have seen that Spyder pre prep pm me. Spyder is fun if you have a garage and the sun. And I am sure at that price and miles it will go up.
My Spyder lives at my dads garage, so it's hassle and I have not driven it this year !

The Clubsport is amazing, as other posters have said , modern cars have gone to st, BMW and Merc are the main nasty's but cannot say the 981 and even less the 718 do anything for me when driven well even 991's seem very un-sports car like.

There is fun in the Clubsport for sure, it is far far better than I expected, no wonder it came 2nd in EVO it's exciting to drive, I swapped out our S1 which was dull :-( it lasted 2 months, was expecting more but it's a milfs car.

have you still got the GT4 and Cayman R ? if so you are as mental as me adding a Spyder for that 3 car garage lol

I am sure you know what to expect owning a R, the Spyder is the R without a roof, and while I am not an open top car fan, driving on a summer evening roof off in that car is perfection. :-)

I got offered a Delivery Mile Clubsport R or S ( cant remember correct name ) about a month ago at a decent price . Was very tempted and nearly pulled the trigger . It was actually my Golf R owning friends who talked me out of it . Looks like I maybe shouldn't have listened ....

No the garage is currently empty . GT3 coming October and hopefully be able to keep Spyder to run along side . 2 very different animals .

I had a new Spyder back end of last summer for a few months . Did the NC500 in it and really enjoyed it . I'm also not a lover of convertible cars as a rule, but have always been attracted to the old Spyder .

I'll PM you for the ominous Intel ...

All this puts my little Abarth 500 to shame, as a second car (or is it the first car?) but needs be where the wallet dictates and it does the job.

I'm very much a convertible fan boy and have been since I owned a Mk3 Triumph Spitfire, many moons ago. A complete and utter piece of garbage, that would disintegrating from rust while you watched, bounced around corners and broke down often (though to be fair some of those were down to me being young and stupid smile). However driving on summer evenings all was (almost) forgiven.

Honestly my wallet is smaller than any other GT car owner I know . If you buy right it doesn't cost you .

I can't see this 11,000mile Spyder costing me anything to run . Its covered with a water tight warranty and I can't see it ever being worth less than £46k in the foreseeable future....

I do regularly get asked by new Audi or BMW drivers at work have I won the lottery . The reality is my cars cost significantly less than there's to own ....

Right that's me now set up for a Spyder market crash !!

As the 981 Spyder is now at better overs than a GT4 you could easy sell the 981 and buy a 987.2 Spyder (your red one back, it was very nice) and a Golf CS and maybe still have change lol

Saw a white 981 Spyder this morning on the A500 "RJS" anyone from here? I was in the GTS.

They look so tiny from a far, like a toy, once up close it looked awesome.

maybe the spyders that have been sold in the last year or so are now with their long term keepers , so less around as a result...

Last week only a couple of 981 Spyders v 16 GT4s on the Porsche network.

200 ish Spyders v 600 ish GT4s in UK.

Clearly the Spyder is benefitting from the usual seasonal demand further boosted by this hot weather and predicted hot June and July.

i think helping the spyder resale wise is it seems to have a stand alone appeal , hard to pinpoint the competition at that 80-90k price point.

£90k can buy you some serious toys if you stop and think about how to spend £90k on 3 toys not just one, then it makes you think a bit about values imo.
