Still no idea of build date, and continued configurator visits mean ever changing spec.
Now at Agate Grey with PCCBs and yellow stitching.
Assume most popular colours to be white and silver, probably end up as my choice too, but today Agate looks great.
So no one is considering Guards Red? And what of the (is it Speed) Yellow? Now at Agate Grey with PCCBs and yellow stitching.

What to do while 'World of Tanks' is updating...
Porsche configurator. Here's my thoughts
Black - Hides the shape
Jet Black - better but looks likes Batmans car from the rear
Rhodium Silver - Car washed with a New Blue towel
Sapphire Blue - I sort of like but is it 'special' enough
Agate Grey - Um? Yes. No. I think I'd have to see it on an actual car. I have an aversion to anything vaguely silver on a car, WAY too common.
Racing Yellow - I like it outside but in side UCK! (oh and do they change the colour of the cup holder sign to suit the car colour?
So that leaves
White - No. It nice enough but like people say the vast majority of the 80/150 will be white and is it not a little 'boring'?
Guards Red - So replace one Guards Red Spyder with another. Perhaps lacking in imagination.
While we are about it. Sat Nav? Yes or No? I don't see this 981 spyder as quite the same stripped out, feather weight as the 987 but more of a touring car without a roof (No PDK comments allowed!) so what would stop me is the price tag - £150 tomtom or £2000+ Porsche.
Well downloads nearly complete so your thoughts?

Rhodium is too blue to mix with yellow calipers so doesn't work for me.
GT Silver is great, but expensive and on the shortlist.
I'm hung up on yellow stitching, so looking to make that work.
Will probs change interior trim from body colour to carbon, definitely the centre console trim anyway.
I want DAB and Bose, so CDR Plus, Bose and mobile phone with no nav.
Anything that's free - storage net, wind deflector, 64l tank and door pulls same colour etc
Guards Red - I think will look fantastic, but not right for me

What with 80/150 only in this county? I don't think people will be too worried about the colour. Most might prefer the more stayed colours but equally there will always someone who want their sport car to be in a sports car colour.
I wonder what the 'preferred colour' would have been had the launch colour been Racing Yellow like the GT4?

Hoping to get one in the second "wave" of cars
Had the nod that I may get one after all
So, the advice from the OPC was that I would be mad to reject the car as it will be a thing of rarity. I had pondered the softy option of a Boxster GTS!!
When exactly is the 2nd wave? I have a December build but really want a March build but dealer keeps telling me currently there are no 2016 build slot options for any models Had the nod that I may get one after all

I suspect they haven't given body colour paint to this area as it's too prone to wear from fastening/un fastening the roof. Having not seen one in the flesh as yet not sure what material is around that area.jayxx83 said:
The plastic on some areas of these new Porsche are shocking. Was looking at a turbo s 991 in Guildford yesterday and the scoops on the side felt so cheap. The 997.2 gt2 rs there however had solid plastic for its vents.
It is an incentive for buyers to pay extra to have those bits painted Yes the rear side air duct plastic on the Tts would look cheap on a 1980s Skoda never mind a new c £150k Porsche. Same story with the front indicator surrounds on the Spyder and GT4.......accentuated by the lighter body colours unfortunately and an incentive to perhaps choose black which will doubtless be quite rare as a Spyder colour.
