Go and look at the Agate Grey on a standard Boxster. To my eye it's not quite right. It seems to have a hint of brown in the mix.
The colour choice for this car drives me mad....I quickly ruled out agate before as I didn't like the look of it in photos. The picture/render in this thread looks really good, but you've reminded me why I discounted it in the first place.
My thoughts:
Carrara white - surprisingly safe choice. Won't look nice with spyder Classic interior though sadly.
GT silver / rhodium - both nice, classy if a little safe. GT works with the classic interior which I'd like
Guards red - I wish carmine red was available instead. Hard to keep nice (swirl marks).
The blacks - you have to like washing cars often
Yellow - dramatic but not in a good way!
Sapphire blue - this could be an option for me. Just not quite sure somehow?
I'd still go PTS voodoo blue if I could. Without that option, it's Carrara white metallic, GT silver or possibly Sapphire blue for me.
The only colours I would consider that work with the spyder interior are GT, rhodium at a push (since paint won't match will it), agate or the blacks. Blue would be Spider-Man.

Totally agree about the colour choices -I quickly ruled out agate before as I didn't like the look of it in photos. The picture/render in this thread looks really good, but you've reminded me why I discounted it in the first place.

I'm down for an Oct build date and was at the OPC yesterday starting the process of opting the car.
I'm still currently Carrara white with black/ red interior.
But likewise I wish carmine was an option.
I don't think I could do Sapphire, just looks a bit regular to me,the voodoo would be special though !
Let's hope the road testers get there hands on it soon.....
I see we are still been offered the old bucket seats.
Anyone got any thoughts on how these compare vs the unavailable new LWB ??
This is going to be a very special car

Do you mean black leather with red stitching? That would be my choice with white as well, as it follows the brake calipers.
Yes Black with Red stitch, red belts and door pulls.Think I'm going leather for the steering wheel and gear-lever as I'm not sure about the feel of the alcantara plus leather for the centre console trim.
BUT....
I've been watching a few reviews of GT4 and GTS cars today and I still not sure if I should stick with Guards Red (as all my previous sports cars have been Red) !!
6 weeks before lock down .....

Doesn't guards red show swirls easily?Think I'm going leather for the steering wheel and gear-lever as I'm not sure about the feel of the alcantara plus leather for the centre console trim.

I think the combo you are speccing will be great (especially with the platinum wheels you later mentioned - I am tempted by them too). I'd like to see carrara white metallic in the flesh before I pull the trigger. Still haven't ruled out GT Silver. White will look classic in years to come for this car IMO.

My last cars = Austin Healey Sprite 1967, Austin Healey 3000 1963 and presently Boxster S 2005, so swirls have been the least of my problems I think the combo you are speccing will be great (especially with the platinum wheels you later mentioned - I am tempted by them too). Fashion Grey would be great - like the Suzuka Grey on the R8?

Subject to seeing it in the flesh hopefully before lock down I want something "Special" so my favourite number 1 choice is GT Silver with Classic Interior as much as I find the cost of this shade of silver a complete rip off Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
