Hi there

So now I am probably the only Spyder sporting yellow seatbelts and door pulls, had them done this weekend and super happy with the results!
Also removed the baffle plate behind the vent blocking the induction, sounds better, throttle maybe crisper or placebo!

Yep just made sense, want to get the roof attachment points changed from red to yellow and car be spot on then visually.

I did enquire with Porsche but they only sell the door pulls in black, silver and red, as such I went to a company called Kolour Concepts who sorted it all for me. smile

I'm sure that is the one I test drove in 2019, exhaust was pretty loud, I would of had it it if we could have done a deal with my 996 turbo.

I personally think the non standard exhaust will turn off alot of buyers. They have the stock PSE one...I'd fit it..

Seems to be a private sale so guessing they probably sold it to this guy, Spyders and Cayman R change hands quite regular, bit like other GT class cars.

I see the JZM car at £49,500 has sold this week, I think now there is like only 2-3 manual Spyders left for sale and one of those is a category write off car which I actually enquired about as was contemplating bidding them 30k on it, they sent me photos and the damage seemed cosmetic, so I asked for a walk around video and in the video I could see a wheel was badly buckled and the car has a wrap no doubt covering the crash damage as I suspect they have just repaired the original front bumper, which says to me the car has been repaired on the cheap and then very badly prepared for sale, how any garage can claim this 110 point pre approval BS to then clearly see a wheel is massively buckled.

I think most garages idea of a 100+ car check and preparation is literally to go and kick all four tyres and start the car up, yep its passed!

Potentially, I've taken somewhat risk changing the seatbelt and door pull colour on my car, but its my car and something I like of course when I come to sell it I could either be putting a lot of people off or they just won't notice or care.

I am considering some performance mods for mine in future, but if I go ahead I will just go ahead with the carnewal factory headers with factory cats reduced to 200 and a softronic remap, which should be enough for me.

The seatbelts and door pulls look great. Would be a bonus for me. I think I might go red to match the calipers

FFS, the bins man, the efffing bins !!

And you need the money shot of the rear aspect :

wow what alfa is that?
The Alfa is now living the high life in Saint Tropez, but before leaving for the South of France it did manage a quick session at a little known string of bends around the Eifel; this film highlights a few of the key features:

Now as you were, back to the wonderful Spyder, preferably in 987 flavour please wink

Think prices have peaked, the £60k+ uk price has been banded around for years but don’t think it has ever happened, the USA one is a low miles car with classic interior and pcbs so very rare spec.
Although a great car imho £50k is peak price for low miles minter it’s like many modern Porsche caught up in the overs bubble it wasn’t that long ago when one could be had for £30k and new they were heavily discounted, I bought my £60k new car for £45k just wish I had kept but circumstances dictate and decisions are made.
IMHO we are in finally for a correction in the overs market!

Of course if values go up that would be nice, but I think 50k would be the current price ceiling.

Well cars are fetching 50k with 15k miles. So if a perfect spec low mileage example comes along you can bet it will fetch 60k if it’s like sub 3k miles.

Mine is about to be available. Have owned for 5 years and just fancy a change. Full spec manual white car, 27k miles, perfect SH and Porsche wtee until May next year. I will be looking for £45k. A PCGB member has first dabs on it but will open the sale in next few days. Do PM me if you’re interested and a serious buyer.

Sorry not true there has been a nice spec. low miles a £5 under £50k for ages!
Is a sub 3k miles worth that much more than 15k miles car ? Peak I still think is around £50k max

Compared to any other car they’re pretty much depreciation proof and a brilliant car to own and enjoy. Unique looking car and very limited numbers. I tell so many kids at work buy these if you can, not a new “sporty” BMW that you will lose 000s on every year…

The Ashgood red Spyder sold for 50k at 15k miles and a month later they had it back and it’s for sale again at 50k with 18k miles now.

So it’s fair to say if a top spec very low miles car comes along it will be advertised for a premium and over 50k as it would be very collectable.

£50K isn't the ceiling for the 987. I had three offers for mine earlier this year over £50K (56, 53 and 51). I turned them all down at the time.
