Both really nice...so how does the 981 compare to the 987.
Tough one (that has been debated on here a lot it seems). For me, the 987 was maybe a bit more lairy, and perhaps a touch more fun on a B-road blast. If I had to choose between the two though I'd have the 981. As a daily drive it was excellent, much better quality interior than the 987, better looking in my opinion and just more manageable and refined day to day. Although I should say I didn't have a single problem with my 987, where as my 981 went back to Porsche 3 times in 6000 miles with some fairly serious issues. Good service from Porsche Cardiff but the problems just got annoying and sold the 981 last week for an F-Type coupe (due in May).Depending on how that goes will determine whether or not I return for a Cayman GTS in a year or so. My girlfriends dad already has one on order so fingers crossed I'll get to compare the two!
Interesting you say the 987 was more fun on B roads, I've not driven a 981 Cayman yet but last year I was given a 981 Boxster S when my 987 CS was in for a service and I didn't like it strange as it seemed I felt my own car was sharper through the bends if you know what I mean...what went wrong with your 981.
Jag F-type coupe...stunning bet you can't wait, what spec are you going for.

Few things wrong with the 981: Fuel filler cap locked shut (emergency release failed), start stop system failed, airbag system failed and had issues with the seatbelt electrics. I agree that the 987 felt maybe a little sharper, but despite all the problems I really loved the 981 and may well go back for a GTS in a year or 2.Jag F-type coupe...stunning bet you can't wait, what spec are you going for.
F-Type I'm having the 3 litre V6 in white with the panoramic roof, 20" gloss black cyclone wheels, exterior black pack, parking pack, flat bottom sports steering wheel and switchable active exhaust. Hoping for delivery in late May. Ordered in Feb so the wait has been a nightmare already!

Electrical gremlins are always a pain in the arse and often difficult to cure.F-Type I'm having the 3 litre V6 in white with the panoramic roof, 20" gloss black cyclone wheels, exterior black pack, parking pack, flat bottom sports steering wheel and switchable active exhaust. Your F-Type sounds fantastic...I was out for a run I the car today and ended up at the local Jag dealer for a look at the new coupe in the metal...WOW it's bloody stunning it has to be the best looking car on the road who ever penned that shape hit the nail on the head it's spot on. I had a seat in the base V6 and the R both beautiful inside but I must admit I preferred the twin centre exhausts of the base car v's the quad pipes of the R....I'd have one in a heartbeat.
I'am sure May will come soon enough...enjoy your new wheels.

Zyp - the badge on the front wing is a small union jack, there is also some print above the number plate, a list of the places us and our cars were visiting on last year's trip, both stickers, now removed.
The first photo is in Italy on some small roads on the way to Lake Como.
The second is at the start of the Gross Glockner Pass, it was the first pass we did after driving off the train at Schwarzach-St. Veit, Austria. http://www.grossglockner.at/en/hochalpenstrasse/
