My Black Edition, Snowdonia last week.

On a side note, North Wales has the best driving roads I've ever been on in the UK. A driver's nirvana.

I've just become a Porsche Cayman owner with this 2009 2.9 Gen II. It's a joy to drive!

Nice, how do you find the 2.9 engine? Are they non standard 17" alloys?

They're Boxster Gen2 17's. You could option them on the order IIRC instead of the standard 5 spokes. Look good on the car IMO and I certainly wouldn't change them.

This is my first ever Porsche and it's early days yet but at the moment I'm happy with the 2.9. My last weekend car was a TVR Griffith 500 and the Cayman feels just as powerful but with a smoother delivery and slicker gearchange.

The original owner had them fitted in place of the 19" alloys. I must admit that the profile of the tyres does remind me of my Q3!

Thanks. thumbup
I have to say, not my first choice of colour, but with Metropole interior & hood it looks great.
Absolutely loving it and the noise... cloud9

My 2007 Cayman S. Had it for 6 months now, and the only thing I don't like about it is... school run days.
I've got 2 kids, so school run days mean I need to leave the Cayman at home & take my Cooper S instead.
Still - 9 weeks (9!) of school holidays start tomorrow ! Happy days.

In two minds about the 19 inch Carrera Sport wheels. They look fantastic - but I know, deep down, it's nicer on smaller wheels.
Could definitely be convinced to swap them for 987.1 or 987.2 18s, if anyone was minded to offer a trade.

My best friend has asked to borrow mine tomorrow to take his son to his school prom.

Thought I better give it a quick clean and make it look presentable. (I do love Basalt Black when it's not dirty)
