Personally I wouldn't bother with the following:

PTV with LSD - Just not needed, you won't notice the car not having it.
Sports chassis 20mm lower - too harsh for our roads

Amazing cars!

You have a similar specification to my car.

I disagree that the LSD and PTV option is not required. I spent much time deliberating over it, and drove cars with and without it back to back at the Porsche Driver Experience Centre, Silverstone. As a result, I was much impressed and added to my specification, and (although many might disagree) benefit from the PTV aspect in particular routinely with spirited driving.

I decided not to include Sports Chrono, because there seemed little benefit in a manual car; although it will now blip automatically the throttle on downshifts, I saw no point - and am quite able to do so myself. And, given that you've not selected the PDK option, I suspect that (like me) you want to drive your car!

I agree that the sports chassis could be too hard for UK roads (although if yours is to be tracked ......); however, I also deliberated over the standard and PASM suspensions - and drove those back to back to. Consequently, I opted for PASM because the ride is undoubtedly improved whether seeking comfort or a more sporting drive (automatically too).

No heated seats? Cheap and effective - and offer much on these cold days.

Sound Package Plus disappointed when tested back to back with Bose. Although the latter is more expensive, the addition of rear speakers and a fader control provides a more rounded sound; the SPP seemed to be focussed in the front centre only and seemed flat.

Although the car will have xenon headlights as standard, I commend to you the PDLS option which gives a number of automated modes and more powerful lights.

The Smoking Package is free and adds a cover over the cubby at the rear of the centre console - and another 12v power socket.

I wish that I had selected the white instrument dials because the standard fit of black speedometer and grey tachometer are difficult to read as it moves from daylight to dusk then night; the consensus of opinion is that the white dials are easier to read at all times (and I agree, having had them on 2 previous Porsche cars).

I reckon the LSD is one of the most vital options - just shows we all have different tastes!

Thanks for the responses so far!

Agreed on the PTV/LSD. A performance car such as this should really have a LSD as standard! May do a bit of track work but mainly road driving.

Had sport chassis on my 911 and the ride was hard, but I think it improves the stance as well as the obvious. Can live with the ride. A mate has a Cayman R which I'm assuming is similar and that is acceptable.

I was told the coloured crests on the wheels is standard with this configuration, can anyone confirm?

Heated seats don't do anything for me personally! Haven't had them in any car I've ever had!

Not too worried on the sound. Had Bose in my 911 and didn't rate it tbh. Think the SPP will suffice for what I need.

Thanks again!

Yes, I have the same wheels on my 981 Boxster S and the coloured crests came with them.

Del, thanks for your help!

I originally had PDLS on the spec but removed it when I realised that Xenon's were standard. Can you confirm the lights are definitely more powerful? Understand the cornering function, but thought money was better spent on other things.

Good tip with the smokers package, will look into this.

Again originally had white dials, as I thought they looked excellent. However including the stopwatch it seemed too much money!

I did want the interior carbon also but you have to draw a line somewhere! It's very easy to get a little out of control!

I didn't have the opportunity to assess the headlight options, because all my test drives were undertaken in daylight; however, the (mainly) US view - http://www.planet-9.com/981-chat/ - is that PDLS employs more powerful lights in addition to the other functions.

This is underpinned, in part, by the fact that the standard xenons are not equipped with headlight washers (because they don't provide enough lumens to necessitate then to satisfy regulations) while the PDLS does have washers. Certainly, PDLS doesn't disappoint.

I concur re smoking package.
Does Cayman have climate? If not, it's worth speccing as manual switches hard to reach around gears.

Have you driven a sports chassis car ?

I have not , very hard to find one, but if it's any thing like the R it will be awesome .

Would love to try one with sports chassis.
I would def add heated seats, very cheap option and great for resale, seems daft not to spec it at the cost.
With a very sporty set up though you may as well go bucket seats :-)

Not going to add it up , but that must be over 70k , could you really do that ?
With that spec you would have to wait for the GTS. Car due out.

PDSL lighting is with higher wattage bulbs than standard xenons - best light system I've ever had on a car.
