If it's been 2 years you'll need brake fluid as well. Think that's an additional £150 last time I checked

Good god man that's criminal! How long have you owned the car?! You'd better have just picked it up this morning or only just ticked over 1K miles!
Only had the car since 1st March, and it's just clicked over 1000 miles. I had spoken with the dealer and he told me to start driving it properly, as long as it was well upto temperature. Still can't get over how loud the car is, in a good way. Can't imagine what the Spyder and GT4 must be like, I read that they are a little louder than the GTS.

Each to his own. Have been up there at the PEC but frankly the S is running out of steam up there - peak power is quoted at 7400 but in reality is practically flat from 6500, so if you hold it above 6500 you are on a fairly steeply falling torque curve, which personally I don't find very satisfying. It might still be making nice noises but it doesn't feel that eager. Yes it's definitely going to be (quite a lot) faster if you hold each gear to 7400 (or even the limiter) but I personally find it more satisfying/enjoyable to change up by 6500 and then land back in the meat of the torque curve. Change up at 7800 and you already over peak torque in the next gear when you change - which personally I don't find so nice.

I can't think of any mainstream car I've driven where I've regularly gone up to the red line for pleasure (as opposed to necessity/on track). Very highly tuned bikes - particularly two strokes - where peak torque is very close to peak power - a different matter.

If we're being pedantic it's not even quoted at 7400, that's the 981 caymans and 991.1s. The BGTS I think is 6700 from memory. It doesnt have the top end of my 620R (max torque at 7350 and power at 7700, the latter also being max revs) nor even of my 993 (dyno showed max torque at 5000 and max power at 6400, redline at 6700). It's still fun though, noise sells it for me, and first to second you do land in the meat if the curve so it's not all bad. When my BGTS is out of warranty there's a good chance I'll be off to Germany to have it breathed on my ehresmann - a few extra ponies and more importantly a better top end....lovely jubbly

Ok, so it's the first time today that I have given the BGTS a decent run. I was really unsure of the PDK when I ordered it, but today I have really enjoyed it. The crack from exhaust between shifts at around 3-4K revs under a heavy right foot had anyone in the area turning round.
After a spirited run around Derbyshire, mostly in manual mode, I loved it. On the roads I know well, I did miss a proper manual gearbox, but the rest of the run with PDK was great.
As I said earlier, it has taken me a while to run the car in. First impression of the BGTS are great, and the whole package feels perfect for me. I'm not a well off man, but I do try my best to have a nice car.
I'm not for a second trying to say it's the best car money can buy, but for someone that has always bought Audi and VW, it's a massive leap in the right direction. I just can't understand why i waited so long to try one. If things only get better from here, I should have a very happy garage for the next few years.

It seems it's £95.00, if they are using the fix price plans.

I live in the red line, most of my track cars have rev'd to 9K..........abit gutted the BGTS won't rev that high but i can live with that lol

Would love a diff, and shorter gearsets in the future.

Well took delivery of my BGTS yesterday, Firstly I am glad I went for the soft top, the noise is soon good with the hood down! Secondly the manual, the box is sublime.

Can't wait to put more miles on her smile

Quick question, I connected my phone and it shows it in media as an mp3 player. But I am not getting any sound output?
