IMHO it`s a little weird that replacement will cost 15.000??

PCCB option price is €7,700.--

For those of you who have purchased new cars, did you get a rear cargo net with the car?

I did with my Cayman, yes! Funny, the used to position it over the engine cover on the 987's, now they hook them up in the rear boot floor for the 981.

I was told it's been discontinued on model year 2015 cars and is now a dealer fit option. Mine didn't have one when it arrived from the factory. A silly piece of VW inspired penny pinching no doubt.

Hi, newbie to the forums and looking for some advice folks.

I had an original Cayman S (manual) and loved it. So regretted selling it. Now in the market to buy a new GTS.

Have used the Porsche configuration tool and spoken to local OPC and agreed on spec.

What would you suggest is a fair discount if I am paying the car outright? That's if any discounts are available.

I was going to contact a few of the UK OPCs and see who offers the best deal, but in advance thought best to seek some guidance.

Any comments appreciated.

never ask for a discount on a new car

say you will pay full list price but would like some options thrown in.

sounds better ;-) and then play their games.

I would aim for 3.5k of free options on the car depending what you have speced.

options don't cost Porsche much but cost you lots.

best deals are done in person with the sales manager on hand shake there and then

playing dealers off each other is a losing battle, the sales guys want that deal TODAY and want you to BUY TODAY.

If the sales guy goes to his manager even once, just ask to deal with the sales manager.

I managed to obtain a £3K discount but this was on a highly specced Boxster GTS.

I'm in the US, but I got 4% no problem. Most folks are getting 3-4% without issue. 5.5% is the highest I've heard so far. This is in contrast to the Cayman S, where 6% seems to be pretty easy.

6% discount, 1% APR and a 4 year warranty. You lucky....

Thanks guys! My spec brings it up to £69k GBP. Never thought about going down the route of freebie on some of the options, good call. Think that might be a good way to go.

There is a new Cayman GTS coming in to the dealership mid September, so have arranged to go in and have it for the afternoon. Originally had been looking at a Cayman S but loving the unique look of the GTS. Will let you know how things go.

Cheers

I don't think I found a option for that, I will add that to my list.

I also didn't release that the smokers pack, as a extra v12 socket so that another thing I'll need to add to mine.

I paid the asking price for mine but the overall package works out in terms of cash value around 4/5k off the car.

How was that achieved? Trade in price? Options? Or a combination of both? Where did you order from in the end? A mate of mine is about to spec his (on Tuesday). From Colchester OPC.

Cheers......

Bud, I've still got some nightmares concerning the outdoor car park, any comments from you so far?
