Appreciate, but....

there are several videos in you tube and these are the worst ones.
That steering wheel is horrible.

Would like amateur videos rather.

Having great fun with mine right now, but haven't seen any others on the road. Anyone else out there in the Surrey/Hampshire/Berkshire area enjoying theirs yet?

Hello gents,
I've been offered with a swiss protection pack or something like that.
I've heard about it but not sure if it is worth to have it, any advice?
I prefer to have the car as released by the factory.

It depends on the person applying it. A quality polish and protection from new is great.

But there is no 'lifetime' protection as some will claim. Everything is a polish which will wear off.

I had my 987 done (£500) before I picked it up and I wasn't impressed with the results. Mine arrives next month and I have been contacting a couple of local SwissVax approved companies to see what they can offer.

The wax will be stripped off the moment the car is washed with the wrong shampoo solution.

Waste of money by all acounts.

I went for it this time as I regretted not having it waxed when I got my last Cayman. It'll probably only last six months, but for me that was worth it

I am more concerned from a wrong application that could ruin the surface of the car.

Need to have a look at this product though, is it like 3M spray film?

I doubt that a new car needs much of a polish! It will be applying a decent wax that might be worth the money, but I wouldn't pay an OPC to do it. In my experience (of 3 OPCs), they cant detail to save their lives and tend to make the car dirtier whenever they have it.

Both great cars.

Interestingly he really loves the Cayman steering despite what some of the experts say on here. He also raved about the manual against the PDK and that's interesting bearing in mind he has always preferred the PDK. If mine was purely a weekend fun car I would agree but for me the PDK shades it.

Interesting and fair review IMO. I have to say the Jag is one good looking car..

That is my opinion, so you've confirmed that: useless for a brand new car, for sure if done by an OPC.

Ok, ok, yes Steve has been payed by Porsche. biggrin
Again, same sentence as the one on CGTS review video, car of his life.

I would have appreciated better his comments after some time lap comparisons.

No doubts which is the one I would put money on: guess?
