Really liking the look of both GTS models. Would need to go the whole way with the GTS options, interior and gloss finishes etc.
First 981 boxster to grab my interest.
That new red looks lovely, but agree with others guards would also look good. Speed yellow also would look good, find the racing yellow a bit too much.
Oh.. And that launch was really painful. Space idea? Random gymnast?

Just had a call from OPC informing me that my cars proposed build date is the 16th June so it should be with me by the end of June.
However As I have 'fixed' my specification it could be earlier.
I have been allocated what would have been their demonstrator so couldn't be happier. Not because of the possible early delivery but because I'm so very content with my spec, it's going to be a great car and I just can't wait.....

I've ordered one as well. Can't wait! I've gone a bit mad on the spec but I think its just the most perfect car too. I had a 981 S Cayman for a year before and it was perfect apart from no buckets so I've put that right this time!
Pistolp, pls let us know how you get on with it and post reviews in good time, The Cayman GTS is more real world as a car than your collection of GT3s and I for one would be v interested in how you feel about it.BTW what are your spec.s?
I will do, I've got an S right now and I can tell you I think its one of the best road cars I've ever owned. So useable and adjustable. By that I mean its not too quick and it's got a good chassis that's very playful, the limits are also easily accessible.
My GTS is 73k so there isn't much it won't have. Nothing really on the inside but all the mechanical bits. PTV, PCCB, PASM, buckets, carbon and all in grey with black. I think it'll be a stunner. Will depreciate a fair but then I plan on really using and enjoying it so that's life. Soon all cars will be battery powered, I can save money then.

funny how they spec it with bucket seats, real suspension, manual and PCCB, then reviews say it's sharper, lol you can add these options to a normal car !!!
got to hate car reviews.... but speced like this it makes a car worth looking at, all these options should be standard on the GTS mind you.
As tweek it to a spec you would like to own and mine came to 75.5k..... (with PDK as the new 981 ratios are a bit long) so it might have to be a PDK car.

It's a bloody good car. I kinda agree with MrD, though - my approach would be to spec up a Cayman S to what I want (suspension, buckets, etc) and then do the same with the GTS and see which is cheaper. I wouldnt be too bothered about not having the slight power bump and body kit.
That's not a criticism of the GTS at all - it probably strikes about the right balance in just being "the best" Cayman, rather than specifically aiming at being the best handling Cayman (which is why an R might just about make sense...).
