I have the same wheels and brakes but painted a different colour and I never noticed my disks looking so small. I think maybe the white inner rim lightens up the area behind the wheel a bit making them appear smaller. I know the other pic is rear and this is a front but here's a pic anyway.

Not having a dig at the owner of the yellow car , but why just have the outside of the wheels painted black rather than the whole wheel ?

Satin platinum for me every time.
Love the satin. Thought not a good combination with the yellow though wink

Agree re part black. No doubt there is a Germanic rationale...

Well, some news on my CGTS

End of Production: 22/11 planned
Quality check: tbd
Dispatch: by friday of the week after Quality check
Arrival (dealer): 2 weeks after dispatch
Preparation: 3 dd max (estimated by salesman)

7 dd free insurance included, how to use it? I mean, I would rather have my insurance in place right at the delivery date.

Well, I am pleased to see you were given some honest timescales for each stage. I was not. Hopefully they can exceed these for you!! I took out my own insurance straight away so the missus could drive but if not required, then a week's free insurance.

Yes, I am sure my salesman understood I am prepared with some previous experiences to tell him about, so no bullstting accepted wink

But I still feel I'll get it one week later than he expected with that timing, i.e. late December.

Did anybody toy between a Cayman and Boxster GTS? And drive both? Curious about thoughts on wether you noticed a difference between the cars (other than the lack of roof!!).

I have driven both, I preffered the boxster over the cayman. For 95% of the time the boxster was as good as the cayman. For the final 5% you do notice the difference in rigidity and directness between the two, the cayman being the better stiffer car.

However, for that extra 5% you sacrifice the room which is just not worth it. For the times you can drive with the roof down its a million times better.

However I ordered a cayman because my head was rubbing the roof in the boxster and not the cayman. If I was an inch shorter it would be the boxster I would have bought

We had a Cayman and Boxster and decided is was time for just one weekend car. We tried both, but not in GTS trim as there weren't any, and chose the Cayman.

You have done well with delivery time!!

I had a couple of flaws in the paintwork. A nick of at the end of the edge of the driver's door. It was not where the door caught have been caught by someone being clumsy but rather looks like something mechical. Also, rear right wing on top, edge nearest the boot, very light swirly lines over an 18 inch stretch plus a dull patch the size of a golfball (the first difficult to see, the latter easy when you know!). Mostly remediated now. All spotted when I gave it a quick first polish at home. Always do it as these things can easily be missed on collection and if reported straightaway no accusation of the owner being the cause. Apologies if I am teaching you old tricks!

Yup 6ft 3 here. 2 inches shorter and I would of had a boxster. But it is my second car so I think its a bit more of an occasion then a cayman, even though at the limit the cayman is probably the better car.
