The size is available but you'll lose warranty because they are not N-rated.

The Michelin official in the other thread mentioned that there will be "a solution by late 2015".
Thank god, the Pirellis are crap. The ridiculous vibrations you get at the limits of adhesion are just terrible. I've never before driven on a sports car tire that did such a thing.

First post. Have to say a huge thanks for all the tips, advice and pics on this thread, has been a huge help and great source of friendly info.

Picked mine up a week ago from Guildford OPC. Could not be more chuffed with it. Simply amazed at this car. Only 200 miles covered so far, but totally exceeding my expectations already, far more than anticipated. Porsche really knows how to make a car with feel and character.

First pic kindly sent by the dealer a couple of days before pickup (I was paranoid about the wording on the invoice and feared they'd deleted the Alcantara and painted 'all' the dials red! Thankfully all as ordered). The rest were taken during pickup, thought it only fair to contribute with some images myself.

GT Silver, GTS Interior (Carmine Red), PDK, Satin Wheels, PCM, DAB & Phone Prep (shameful these are not standard), Folding mirrors, Parking Camera icw f&r parking, Aluminium look fuel cap, smokers package (I don't smoke but prefer the look).

My best congratulations, and glad you've choosen one of the best colour imho.
Mine will be Rhodium, I know GT silver is better, but no worth to me, too expensive if compared to Rhodium, that is not so different. Will have also Carmine red pack with buckets. I think the combo Carmine red int's and silver ext's is the best one. Same wheels of course smile
Looking forward to meeting you all.
When the first GTS meet?

Ah yes, the 981 GTS meet. Have I started something? Not clever as I live in Guernsey...

You are all invited here! There are two GTS's here (both Boxsters).

(Own expense of course...)

Thanks! Rhodium is an awesome colour, hope you're not waiting too much longer. I toyed between Rhodium and GT for ages, I wanted darker in the end, and Agate too dark for me and too similar to mineral grey on my last BMW, GT was the perfect middle ground, didn't want to pay more for it, but after compromising on last few cars I felt I should just get what I really wanted. I'm a huge fan of Silvers with dark wheels too. Interior is just brilliant, will grab some pics soon.

GTS meet sounds great..I saw a train of nice Boxsters a month or so ago during a Sunday morning run near Newlands Corner - a favourite spot for car meets around here (Guildford) by the looks of things.

Picked mine up Friday (Code - PFMBQSA3) ordered early Sept and came as surprise to me and OPC when the car suddenly turned up. Apparently they are having lots of build issues with certain internal colours/wheels etc so these are being delayed which probably allowed extra slots to bring mine forward.
First thoughts - X73 is absolutely fine...ordered without trying and coming from a 981 Boxster S with PASM can make a decent comparison. Not had chance to put through it's paces but definitely not too hard and in combination with the 18 way seats I think it could even be more comfortable.
Secondly the downchanges are much smoother... the Boxster surged on low speed downchanges (town driving) which got quite annoying. This seems to have been sorted.
Looks great, sounds great, looking forward to it!

Picked it up today :-)

Only done 40 miles so far so can't really comment but X73 seems really really good. A happy camper.

Nice looking car!

I fear climbing over those seat bolsters may become a bit of a pain.

Thanks!
The seats aren't too much of an issue - I've got an S1 Elise as well... now that's a pain!

that looks realy nice, same seats as the Spyder. what is the colour as it matches those wheels? the carbon buckets are nice to live with as long as you are not too big

That's not too far away from me, assuming that a Cayman R would be welcome at a GTS meet :-)

Yep, that'd do me.
Fine looking car you have there.

Love the seatbelts - sort of harks back to the braces the City boys were wearing in the '80's, stepping into their red 911's.... biggrin
(I do like them though)

Yet another car that has made me question my choice in colour! That looks fabulous!
