Thanks, to be fair everything fine so far, but maybe I am a little bit too nervous because not sure if I can get it before holidays i.e. have it by the second week of December. Or maybe because I just want to be cared with attention and receive info from my salesman rather than call him or push him for updates.
I think you hit the nail on the head there. Sadly the care and attention seems to last until the order is taken and deposit paid, then after that fades when the salesman works on new commission opportunities. When things go wrong there seems to be a ' well you can cancel but you have waited this long' attitude. And with a GTS if you cancel the car it will be sold quite easily to someone who doesn't want to wait for a bespoke order, so the OPC has you by the short ones. Apologies for the sanguine view but I have met few good salesman, and many bad, and considering I have bought a car every year for the last 6 with an average tag of £55k, I would like to have experienced better.

Fair point, but I am ready to call Porsche Customer service at least in case of bad behaviours.
Anyway your analysis is absolutely right, unfortunately.

Silver, nice. Grey, stealthy and tasteful. Red, just lovely. Yellow, superb, Viper Green, phenomenal.

But this :

Is quite simply perfection. cloud9

Pick up on Tuesday for me - FINALLY! Went down today to have a look.
Also saw my first 918 Spyder - not only one but two!! - unfortunately was asked not to post pics of those cars so will respect the request - one white w/ weissach wheels and the other in sapphire blue w/weissach wheels

But here are some pre-PDI pics of my machine - cannot wait.

Beautiful, and finally with these picture the differences between Rhodium and GT are clear.

Have you got x73/ss?

Here is my spec in full:

U2 GT Silver Metallic
GW Black leather interior with Alcantara
635 ParkAssist rear
712 Deletion of "GTS" on side doors
748 Electric folding outside mirrors
P13 Automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors with integrated rain sensor
220 Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV)
250 Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
X73 Sports suspension (20 mm lower) Exclusive
423 20-inch Carrera S wheel
XDA Black painted wheels (partially) Exclusive
454 Cruise control
573 2-zone automatic air conditioning
583 Smoking package
630 Light design package
899 ISOFIX for passenger side
P07 Adaptive sports seats Plus, electrical (18-way) with memory package
XHB Centre console trim in leather Exclusive
594 Rooflining in Alcantara
619 Preparation for mobile phone
680 BOSE® Surround Sound System
P23 Porsche Communication Management (PCM) incl navigation module with universal audio interface

I did deliberate regarding GTS interior - but didn't think it was worth it as you get extended leather and alcantara as part of the GTS model in any case - I didn't really like the carbon add ons and I wanted a black centre dial like my 997 GTS - deviated stitching is nice - but I can take it or leave it.
So I spent the money on the seats and the exterior colour - GT silver which is really special. Only slight regret is not getting DAB - but I can do that with my iPOD/Phone.
Model designation delete - just because I think i wanted a clean looking car and all the badges on the back is bit of a pain for cleaning.
