What's the verdict on the sports suspension?

Has anyone damaged or stone chipped a brand new car?
I'd cry

Sadly, yes. Picked up my Boxster brand new at the dealership. Reversed into one of their parking spaces with confidence in my shiny new parking sensors and "thwack", straight into a narrow vertical steel post which was half way between the sensors so they didn't spot it! Fortunately only the tiniest paint blemish and very low down - now touched up DIY and invisible. Wasn't pleased though!

No tears. Or "No More Tears". As Ozzy would say.

Absolutely spot on. Couldn't imagine a better set up. I note the EVO magazine recently commented that SS was probably not designed for UK roads, but Guernsey ones are probably worse and I am more than happy. If it was uncomfortable my good lady would have mentioned it by now. She has been both passenger and driver.

Think the SS is a must on a GTS. PASM even on its stiffest setting felt like there was too much roll. Add in the aesthetic benefit and its a no brainer.

Just hoping it gets up the drive! (which i didn't check)

I have SS on my Boxster GTS and haven't had any clearance issues , its far higher than my GT3 even with the front lift actuated on that car .

I have experienced one small " scuff " , I think it was the flexible plastic bit by the wheel that momentarily grounded when I was manoeuvring in an unmade car park and the front wheel dropped into a particularly large pot hole . On the road / multistorey car parks etc no issues whatsoever .

I sweated ground clearance too with SS on my Boxster but can doubly confirm -and happily confirm- it has not been a problem! thumbup

Awesome ! Okay that one thing I'm no longer concerned about. Only one thing left -garage clearance which again I didn't check!

Dropped the car at Zunsport this week so they could measure up for grill set to fit with parking sensors as apparently the standard ones do not quite fit.
Quick and friendly service and even threw in a set of side grills which I hadn't seen before but look great.

Very nice! Having just picked up a shiny new 981 S from Glasgow OPC on Friday my thoughts soon turned to meshing the intakes. Black looks good, I'd be really interested to see how hard wearing the coating is - when I had similar done to an old 996 4S they were just sprayed black and quickly chipped.

Did you fit them yourself? Was any drilling of the bumper required?

Fitted the zunsport grilles to my 981S and it was relatively straightforward. Bit of messing, but so far so good.
