The most important choices for me were the gearbox, suspension, seats, colour and wheels. After much thought I went for PDK, PSAM, 18 way adjustable, guards red and 20" Satin.

It's all subjective of course but you'll have lots of fun deciding.

Enjoy......

I was "set" on having the 18 way adjustable seats but SWMBO found the seat back bolsters too tight, even in the widest setting, more constrictive than the standard sport seat plus seat back. A shame as the adjustable seat squab length and angle was better for her than the standard seat, but less of an issue than the bolsters. A shame.

I went for carrara white metallic on my Boxster GTS in combination with the gloss black GTS exterior pack and the Carrera S wheels with gloss black and the result was absolutely stunning. I complemented this with the standard GTS leather / Alcantara interior with interior package painted and centre console trim painted all in Carrara white. The white exterior with black accents and black interior with white accents blend in superbly IMO. With the expensive GTS interior pack the dark carbon makes the interior very dark, I'm not particularly keen on the carbon, but this, like choice of colours, is a very personal thing.

I had a shortlist of colours, solid white was one of them, didn't shortlist Carrara, but when I saw solid white alongside Carrara white it was a no-brainer. Solid white is an off white shade, whereas Carrara is a pure, bright white.

Arahh, thanks for clearing that up. In that case yep it would be Carrera White I like, particularly with satin platinum wheels. Many more months to change my mind laugh

To confirm how nice the external GTS pack with gloss black looks when contrasted against a bright coloured car (with gloss black wheels).

Agreed that carbon interior can look quite dark so I chose painted air vents, seat belts and mat trim in yellow. Works much better than it sounds wink

Sports suspension for me was always about the ride, not the look. I exchanged messages with one of the EVO writers before I made the choice and feel it was the right decision. My GTS has been off/on ferries and over road bumps and no problems with clearance (though, obviously, it is tight).

Have fun with the configurator!

Mines Carrera White with the Satin Platinum wheels, I can post some more pictures if required.

There is a big difference between the normal white and the Carrera White (Metallic), the standard solid colour has allot more red and yellow in in compare to the Carrera White which has more distinctive blue / silver undertones. However, for me its the white the the Carrera white pop's in the Sun light, its just WOW. There is a also a faint essence of a blue hue to it as well is direct sun light.

I also had the same deliberation with the choice of the PASM or X73 and after my PEC at Silverstone, it confirmed to me the X73 was the correct choice. Also where I am surrounded by country lanes and the ride over these is firm but not crashy but the biggest bonus with my set-up is the amount of feeling and feedback you get via the car and wheel.

My main choices was PTV, PCCB, X73, Buckets and the Colour.

My deposit was placed Jan 27th and I have been promised delivery Oct/Nov.
I think I’m going for Agate, satin platinum wheels, manual, PCCB, x73, PTV (after good advice from this forum), smoking pack
May change wheel colour to black to give a bit of contrast to the agate grey body but difficult to decide with the configurator. Need to see cars in the flesh really.

Ive got an Agate Grey Cayman GTS with Platinum wheels. It looks stunning and always turns heads. The missus was driving it today and a couple of lads mouthed 'wow' as she drove past. Not sure if that was the car or her mind! :-p

Its about to be sold back to the OPC to make way for the GT4. So keep an eye out if anyone else is after an Agate Grey GTS

Can I ask how you managed to secure a GT4?

smileMorning Folks. Deposit down on Cayman GTS a few weeks back at OPC Silverstone. Now for the long wait - probably Nov lock down for a Feb/March 2016 delivery.
Why the long delay? Is it that long to get delivery of a new Cayman ordered now??

Not really sure tbh. Popular model? Smaller numbers manufactured compared to standard Cayman & S? Probably a combination of the two. The reviews have been awesome & after a test drive I knew I had to have one. Even previously owning 911's the Cayman GTS is so much fun - lighter, lower centre of gravity etc etc all makes for a great driving experience. Amathus in this thread said he should get his in nine months from order.

Please - if you could post some pics for me to drool over that would be great smileSounds like you have an awesome spec. I was convinced I was going for Carmine; but in some lights it looks great & in other lights I wasn't so sure; but I've always liked the Cayman in white.

One thing though I noticed is that on the configurator Carerra white looks darker & more yellow than solid white. I guess it really isn't a true likeness. I would prefer the brighter pure white colour.

Think the focus is GT4 now and once they're done normal production resumes

If you go on to Porsche GB website used cars search you can find out which dealers have demo cars by ticking the "show demonstrators" box. Eight dealers had them when I last looked.

Don't know where you live but you are welcome to look at my carrara white Boxster GTS that I'm collecting tomorrow. I suspect marginal sleep tonight.....
