Thanks AndyCGTS for posting the pics. Looks great & probably the same colour/wheel combo I've settle on (so far lol). I have such a long wait though frown Sure it will be worthwhile.

Guys, I have a bit of a dilemma.

I settled for a car the dealer had at the lot. I got a great deal on the car and nice financing. It wasn't the exact specification that I wanted, but I won't be keeping the car too long since I am on the list for a GT4, hopefully next year.

However, the dealer just got a used GTS in inventory with a bit more attractive spec. Both cars have attractive specs, but the key differences are: GTS interior package instead of extended leather, PCM instead of Audio System Plus / Sound package plus, aluminium pedals and sport chassis instead of PASM and ptv. It is one of the first cars delivered and has done 3000 miles. The new car has reversing camera and painted key as "ups".

It is slightly more than the deal I got on the new car, and not as great financing. I don't really fancy the red contrast in the GTS interior, especially on white. So it doesn't add any value. PCM I don't think I would have optioned my self if I had the chance, but it is a "nice to have", since it will be a weekend toy I don't feel very strongly about it. It goes down to sport chassis and the PTV that I probably would have optioned myself.

So, a new car, better finance, roughly £1500 difference in price for a brand new car, or a car with a few more options (especially ptv and sport chassis), but that has done 3000 miles and is about 5 months old.

What would you have done?

Hells bells, Andy, no expense spared on that - PCCB and adaptive cruise control!

The fact that no-one has come forward with advice probably says there is no right answer - it's a very personal decision. The one thing I would say is that if you are moving the car on shortly, PCM (overpriced option that it is) will probably make resale easier, because most buyers spec it and, presumably, want it.) Lack of it might have been partly why the other car was apparently well priced.

To all CGTS users with couple of months or more of usage.

Today I washed my beauty and when it was dry I noticed that the exhaust finishers (standard black) was still stained, like still dirty. Tried to further clean it but nothing it remains with non uiform colour, like with small dust stain.
On top of that, there are micro white dots, don't know what they are. Now, I wonder if this is the result of - maybe - too much salt on the roads and so in the exhaust tips.

Any thoughs? I know, need to upload some pictures.

Anyway I am still happy about the rough, racing appeal of black exhaust finishers.

I've wanted a Porsche for ages now, so I have gone all out on her. However, I do regret not ordering the reversing camera and the Homelink (Garage Door) options other than that its perfect. I love the adaptive cruise control, but its such a weird feeling that the car brakes for you.

As are mine. The GT4 tips appear to be of a higher quality. Maybe Porsche will swap them out if we all complain!

Thanks guys. After some meditations I've ended up in thinking this needs to be covered by warranty.
It is clearly a paint/finishing issue, not properly executed. It could be an early production issue.

Gents, please could you upload a picture as mine, be sure the exhaust finishers are well washed.

Now I need to contact my OPC.

PS: not clear to me if GT4 ones are better in terms of paint. Honestly nobody can tell, mine (ours) were pristine looking when new.

I'm forever polishing my old sports tips to keep them looking half decent and they are the shiny ones. I think it's a case of 'they all do that sir'.

I don't know if those black tips are anodised, but I had black ones on my Spyder for 3 years and they never looked anything other than new.

I'd go back to your OPC with those.

I posted about this in the "how great is my 981 PSE" thread. I think the "problem" is caused by the overrun popping causing excess sooting, mixed with the winter road salt. I have the chrome/SS (?) tips on my S and have to resort to the Dremel to get the soot off. It is by far the worst of 3 PSE system I have had, 2 now with shiny tips and 1 with black.

I don't see Porsche being interested TBH, they may just tell you to wash it more?

I think you don't get the point: they have been washed before taking that picture.

What should I do more? It is clear when you touch them that they are cleaned, with paint lost.

The funny thing is that the bottom part of them, the one closer to the road surface, is still painted.
