It's here at last!!!
Went to see the car lunchtime to give it the once over prior to paying for it before picking it up later this week. WOW. Delighted with it :cloud9
Excuse the smartphone pics (I will take a camera with me for the pick up).
Spec includes x73, MT, PCM. Didn't go for the buckets due to tight parking spaces at the office and a narrow garage!
It was worth the nine month wait

+1 to all the other comments here, absolutely stunning, and probably the best looking CGTS I've seen - perfect wheel and GTS exterior pack choices for that colour too!.
+2 +3 and +4.Simply stunning. Congrats for specifying.
I honestly believe (depreciation aside vs. GT4) that the C/BGTS is absolutely the sweet spot in the current 981range and a stunning PTS version can and may even better the regular residuals, so therefore at least worth the extra cost upfront. I caught my own former 2005 Boxster S on the M6 South yesterday which completely threw me... felt like I was looking at someone stealing my motor but you know the style is ageing beautifully. I think the 981 will even eclipse this in time. My twopennnorth.

I had a chance to drive a S, not a GTS, with PASM, different springs and GT3 front swaybar and a adjustable rear swaybar. In my mind, this is the optimum combination. You get the same ride height as the SS, but with superb every day comfort. Yes, it is more expensive, but I thought the combination is fantastic. I ordered the same for my GTS.
Interesting. Which springs and where did you get the rear adjustable arb?I expect the gt4 front and rear arbs will be interchangeable with the gts.
Seriously, that Riviera Blue is the tastiest looking Porsche I've seen in a long time. I've been searching (so far unsuccessfully) for the perfect spec 911 C4S but this Cayman GTS has completely changed my thought processes. I've been on the Porsche configurator this morning. Riviera Blue GTS with buckets. I think I might go for it. Thanks for the inspiration...although you just helped blow my original budget by 15 grand! Oh well.

It rode H&R progressive springs, I read before that you should not use in combination with PASM, however both H&R and the specialist claim it is ok. And the car rode perfectly. I expect the gt4 front and rear arbs will be interchangeable with the gts.
I think adjustable arb was made by RSS, but I don't have the sheet infront of me right now.

Just had an invite for my Cayman GTS driving experience day at the PEC. Can't wait. Only three weeks after placing my deposit so not too bad.
Excellent news, I've had another driving experience arranged for me by my OPC (Booked for May). I really can't have asked for a better dealer experience. AndyCGTS said:

Well done. That's good going. Might have to a blag another one then. I'am looking forward to trying both PASM & X73. I have two CGTS's lined up - manual with PASM & PDK with X73 SS; but a small shame the X73 is on a PDK as I'am leaning towards manual with X73. But anyway it will give me a better idea of both.TonySim said:

Thanks mate, no doubts chromed surface the best in terms of durability.
But black is so cool on GTS, it matches all black bits.
Sure it should have been painted/finished better.
Does anybody know if it is possible to dismount the finishers from the tailpipes?
Have you talked to your OPC about this? (sorry if already been covered). But black is so cool on GTS, it matches all black bits.

Agree re black. Having been so OCD about the rest of my car being shiney black or shiney yellow I think I opted for the 'sports tailpipes' cos there was 'sports' in the title Seriously though, thinking they might actually add to the sound, and being in an all black surround, and being a bit concerned about issues with the black discolouring I went for the sports tailpipes. All that said I didn't guess for a minute that the black ends would discolour as much as they have. Hopefully they can be dropped off and repainted! As they can be optioned I am optimistic for you
Picked up my car yesterday and WOW, WOW & WOW! I had my last 987 Gen1 Cayman S seven years and I can see me keeping this one even longer! Going from 295 to 340 BHP is very noticeable as you would expect and I can only imagine what another 45 + BHP for the GT4 boys and girls will be like.
When I had my depositors day at Silverstone last September they didn’t have an x73 GTS to try so I went with x73 on the strength of the rave reviews on the forums and I am so pleased I did. I can only echo what’s been said already. It’s the dogs danglies. After I picked it up I went to try all of the speed ramps and humps on various routes I use and none were an issue. Result!
I had planned to go for a drive and then go home to fit the Zunsport grills and wax the wheels (sad I know) but it didn’t happen. The car and weather was so good I just had to keep driving and visiting family and friends who work from home. Six cups of tea later I got home and then read the handbook.
In all the excitement of picking up the car yesterday, any camera skills I might have had went out of the window and the photos I took were crap. I did get one from inside the dealers looking out to the car on the iphone.
I have the red GTS interior which is great and to prove I’m a complete tart I’ve bought carbon fibre effect (painted) key side blades from the bay in Hong Kong (£25 ish) and the Alcantara key sleeve with red stitching from Porsche (£ don’t ask, it’s embarrassing).
If anybody is considering going PTS, Lee my salesman said that for cars with PTS availability (not announced for the GT4 yet as far as I am aware) the PTS order book will open again for a limited time in June.

It's great that after the wait the car lives up to the long awaited expectations. I know I said before the colour is awesome.
How long did you wait from placing your initial deposit? I placed mine four weeks ago & OPC Silverstone said a Nov lock down with a Feb 2016 delivery. They said it might be earlier than that. I have my PEC day next week & want to try out the X73 along with PASM - so they have arranged both CGTS's to be available.
Enjoy the car. Keep putting pics up & write up's.
