I thought I should have gone with the black tips but went for the stainless steel option. I know Porsche should sort this out, but given the lack of confidence in Porsche giving a damn perhaps either a repaint, or swap per mine. 1,500 miles and they polish up like new.
My tips are even worse and I've not cleaned them with anything abrasive, ever. I once painted an exhaust black using BBQ paint. It lasted better than these tips have.Anyone had them replaced or swapped out under warranty?

Today popped in to my OPC. Their CGTS demo has a finisher that has no paint at all, 6k miles.
My salesman took a picture and will send it to the headquarter. Issue seems recognised, chromed suggested but told him black is the best option for GTS.
Will keep you posted.

Gen 2 GTS must be 2 years or so away? Boxster will come first, as it was with the 981, then Cayman. Both will be 4 pots with a turbo.
May announcement will disappoint a lot of people.....
I think you are probably right on both counts. I can't see Porsche release a Gen 2 GTS any earlier than 2017. Also my OPC also mentioned that due to pressure on emissions future cars are likely to be 4 pot. May announcement will disappoint a lot of people.....

More pics please - looks good. I am reasonably certain of choosing Carrera White for my CGTS; although the agate grey does look classy.Just collected my car from KDS detailing.....looks better then when I collected it from the OPC...

I have to confess that GT Silver has been my favourite on this thread to date (for the CGTS), but that's not to say that some others have been almost as stunning!Freakuk said:
Interesting, I've had nothing...
Does it come with the car or follow on in the post, no mention of it when buying or at collection...
I got mine once I'd placed the initial order but before having to finalise spec. It should be done this way so you can try different options before finalising.Does it come with the car or follow on in the post, no mention of it when buying or at collection...

Only ordered my CGTS just over a week ago and getting fed up waiting already..........
Going to be a long summer!!
I have my PEC day this friday - around four weeks after placing my order for a CGTS. That was the time frame the OPC said to me. I was on the configurator & you tube after placing my order every day for the first three weeks! It's been a nightmare deciding on colour - but have a few more months of dithering.Going to be a long summer!!
I have two CGTS's lined up for my PEC day. I am probably going for a manual car when I eventually lock down my spec so they initially lined up the manual for the PEC day; but I also wanted to try one with X73 SS but that set up was on their PDK CGTS. So I ask to try both. Same time allowed for the day just split between the two cars.
