Well my car will have its third birthday soon. I have only covered 9k, mainly trouble free with the exception of two dynamic engine mounts which had to be replace. I'm told the cost would have been approximately £700 plus fitting.

Now I could have just been unlike as I don't know if others have had similar problems?

The decision I'm currently pondering is whether to renew my warranty or keep a slush fund.

I haven't and won't be taking the car on track.

Sorry 👍 No obvious signs of a problem save for the warning. Car drove perfectly. Hope that's more informative 🤗

My CGTS has just turned three and I'm not bothering to extend the warranty. I did have the 111 check done thinking it might identify any problems. All was well and I was given 7 days to renew.

I also have a full set of Zunsport grills fitted, obviously not a problem warranty wise...

Into my 4th year now poor thing has only done 11k but I love it every time I look at her let alone drive it. A fabulous alrounder which I probably will never sell. One of a kind IMO.

Has anyone tried the new 718GTS?

I’m trying one on Tuesday.....it will take a lot to get me out of my 981...

I did enjoy the basic 718. As stated above better steering etc. Apparently there is little or no discernible turbo lag on the GTS. An enjoyable morning whatever the outcome...

I’m seriously looking at the new Spyder provided a PDK variant is available later in the year. Trouble for me is my love for the CGTS.

I know we are only hear once but the 981 £ for £ still represents fabulous value and will always be a great road car.

If I do decide to go for a Spyder (subject to availability) then it will be low spec...

Having started this thread 5 odd years ago I can honestly say that my car has been an absolute joy to drive and own. I to am selling mine as I recently learned I have been allocated a 718 GT4. I will advertise mine privately so the buyer saves money and I better the OPC trade in/sor offer.

No car if perfect but the 981 (and hopefully the GT4) has to be close to the top of the list as a great road sports car.

My CGTS is close to its 7th birthday. 😀

Still love the car and will have to decide wether to continue with my GT4 allocation or not.

It amazes me how well this car has retained its current value in spite of the new 4.0 GTS.

My sports exhaust was making a rattling noise so popped into Autostrsse this morning and my off side rear box, solenoid arm, has detached itself from the the rear box. I’m told it can’t be welded back and so I will need a new box.

I’m waiting for a quote to replace it but wondering if anybody knows if there is an alternative fix?

Also this does present an opportunity to look at after market systems.

Has anyone fitted an after market system? If so would appreciate details of sound and cost etc?

Thanks.

5 owners 34k = £48k. Wow are people really willing to pay that amount?

Mines one owner 16k PDK and a lot more I’d be happy with £48k.
