I think I must be going insane!

Never thought it would be so hard to choose a car colour. At the start of my CGTS journey metallic White was the front runner, loved the yellow but think a bit much on the CGTS but simply stunning on the BGTS. Over the past couple of months awaiting my spec being locked down I changed to Agate Grey.

Today was in at my local OPC as they had metallic blue, agate grey, white and carmine red. All were Caymans non GTS models. Grey just didn't do it for me in flesh. Blue similar colour to my previous 987 so want a change. Carmine Red looked amazing although I had to query it, as at first I thought it was Guards Red. White is still in the running.

At PEC on 22nd, and lockdown I am expecting will be shortly after.

It's a great problem to have, but decisions decisions. Already added Burmester to my spec due to the wait.

I stayed away from the configurator for a 2 month period at one point as I kept flipping from dark blue metallic, to agate grey, to anthracite brown and back again for my BGTS. Unfortunately, my visit to PEC added £2k to my bill in the form of bucket seats....doh! Still, collection next week so the wait is finally almost over and I've paid up the final balance....she be all mine on Monday biggrin

Gents, after washing my car the tyre press system showed up in the cluster with a warning of 0.3 bar air fill required on rear left tyre. Checked the press when driving and it was regular, with progress increase after warming up the car (from 2.3 to 2.5 bar), as usual.

How can I remove the warning in the cluster? It seems a malfunctioning, as it never showed up in the winter, with very low temperature.

Hi all!

New here on the forum and would dearly love your advice.

I am looking to buy a Cayman GTS and my local OPC advised the GTS will end production in September and there are very few allocations left. They happen to have one but need to know soon.

Has anyone else experienced the same? Or is this sales talk?

I am happy to wait for delivery as I intend to keep the car for as long as possible but I want to make sure I get everything right before jumping in. But if the production is going to stop soon, I feel pressured to put in am order.

Advice would be welcome!

Was told same, very few allocations left.

How true that is, I don't know.

I think you have to go into TPMS on the computer and you can reset it so that the system "relearns" the pressures. Make sure your pressures are spot on before you do that though. Hopefully that will clear the issue.

I have recently ordered a BGTS, two points to list, £500 appears to be the max discount, £300 seemed to be the average!
Also my car is being built in January 2016 so no last orders in September.
So looking forward to listening to that exhaust!

Hi, new to this forum.

Just ordered a BGTS last weekend. I was really impressed with the test drive, what an incredible sound.
Have been informed that there is no allocation, so have to wait until September to see if any slots come in.

Just sold RS4 cab, was getting tired of the old tech and being such a wobbly barge. Tested F Type 5.0R, R8 V10 Manual, and BGTS. The F Type was too skittish for me, I'm not bothered about swinging the back end round every corner. The R8 is a real nice place to be, but for £65k it was a 2010 model. So here we arrive at the BGTS, it seems to fit the bill perfectly.

Great spec you have there. Apart from the fact it's white it is very similar to what I have.

That looks sweet BishBosh.

The one I tested was red, but that looks a much deeper colour, very nice. Black wheels really suit it.

Never had a car from new, so I'm pretty excited right now. The wait could be long though, but will be well worth it.

I have been to see two used examples, both were on at just under list price and were nearly a year old.

Thanks.

It is a deeper red than Guards Red, mine is Carmine and the black contrasting it in the sun just looks fabulous as will the white/black.

I waited about 6 months for mine and oh boy! it's worth it :-)

Cant help it but heres another....

Heated seats a must for me, esp. to enjoy the car when it is cooler with the roof down. Not that expensive in the grand shceme of things and good for resale IMHO.
Having not got it in the Cayman, but got it in the Cayenne, I would also add DAB (assuming it isnt now standard and I missed it!).

Awesome, looks great.

Do you get DAB radio included in the nav / Bose option?

I can see I may add a few more touches while I'm waiting.
