I've driven the BGTS at PEC, but didn't take much notice of the ride height... Yours looks very low, please tell me you've got the Sports Suspension :/

Yes. It has the Sport Suspension. Drives fine. It's firm but not jarring and it still deals with rough roads resonably well. I haven't tested it on speed bumps yet though.

I drove both SS and PASM at the PEC but actually didn't think I could feel much difference with the ride. The suspension is probably the single most difficult choice on the GTS but I think you won't go wrong with whatever you choose.

Phew... I left mine with PASM, not for the comfort/stiffness perspective, I just don't want to turn heads in town for the wrong reasons... as I grind my way over speed bumps. I've even had a word with my OPC and asked them if they'll hang on to the car for me if my house move isn't complete by the time car is due at the end of Nov. The access to the car park at the rear of the hotel we're staying in is via quite a steep ramp and if I don't ground it on the way down, I'm sure I will on the way out again (unless I reverse back up the ramp!).

BGTS (collected from factory in July) ticked over 5k miles the other week in Spain, about 4k of which have been on euro road trips smile probably should have bought LHD wobble

Not a bad way to rack up the miles though Mario. Much nicer than the crappy British roads.
Keep enjoying it.

Regarding paint protection I have been quoted £1k for front bumper covering , full bonnet , 2x rocker panels. Products in question are expel ultimate or Suntek, have been advised that Suntek is slightly thinner than expel and gives slightly less protection but is a lot glossier in Finnish.

Anybody experience of these two products please chime away smile

Cruel, just cruel...lol.

But I really don't mind as after all the waiting and anticipation is part of the enjoyment - wish that stage went quicker though lol.

Picked my CGTS up today after a incredibly busy few weeks - the car has been waiting for me for a while. What a massive disappointment it was though. You're not going to like what I have to say....

Just joking......it was awesome as expected. It's a damn fine piece of kit but the weather was awful and it's already covered in gunk and leaves.

Nothing else of note to report back on from what's not been said here before except:
1) Sport Plus makes EVERYONE giggle in the passenger seat;
2) X73 was fine and quite comfortable even with central London speedbumps. Including the nasty ones in Islington; and
3) Guards Red gets A LOT of attention. People have been winding down their windows for a chat waiting for the lights to change.

So I have to have my spec locked by next week. I think I'm reasonably happy with the spec.

I'm coming from a 991 GT3 so hoping the GTS will be nearly as much fun but at more realistic speeds. It will be mainly be used for weekend blasts and euro road trips.

Anything that I have missed out or could be left off the list?

Nice spec!

Good to see it in manual! Mine is pretty identical. Please be aware that you will develop a very strong left thigh muscle driving it.

I also noticed you have a leather wheel. I have this too and sort of wish I had the standard material. I think on balance the alcantara looks better as well.

I'd go with buckets rather than 18-way seats: the 981 buckets are reeeeeeally comfy, much better than the fancy carrera GT buckets I had in my 997 GT3 which annoyed me after 2 hours as they were so narrow. They also look brilliant and with the GTS interior really make the car look high end

Must say, after seeing a 991 GTS in Carmine at Colchester OPC, it's a serious contender for the colour of my next car....stunning..
