I think technos look great on red, blue and even grey cars (which surprised me), but they lose something in my eyes on a white car. So option 2 for me too.

I couldn't own a yellow car, but I think this looks great too, hats off to him:

But yes, this does look great. Just make sure you get X73 to set the look off

Call me a cynic - but I suspect the standard wheel is a marketing ploy. There is absolutely nothing wrong with its looks (imo) BUT it looks just like the wheels on the base Cayman. Knowing how many owners want their cars to look individual Porsche are probably well aware that many will feel compelled to spec different wheels, or at least have them painted a different colour. ker-ching.Dreds said:
Great looking motor tyrrell. Is that at exclusive car care? If so what's your verdict on their work, I'm thinking of asking them to do my Cayman GTS when it arrives in April.
Hes very good, I've used him for my Range Rover and M135i and hes going to be doing my GT4.Here's a good link to the level of detail he goes to - this is on a GT4.

Thanks for the confirmation everyone! X73 already on the spec. TonySim is that Voodoo blue? Looks amazing, I tried to spec it but PTS wasn't available - gutted.
Hi wellzee, its Riviera blue but does look a bit darker in the picture than in real life. A CGTS or BGTS in any colour is a great car and top marks for X73! Its brilliant
My spec has now changed to include PCCBs. I can't justify the cost and will need to hide it from some family members, but as it is my first brand new Porsche I don't know how many more opportunities I will have again, so I thought bugger it.
Build date lock I am now being told is mid Feb. Still expecting a March build and May delivery here in Australia. What is anybody else being told for March build dates?

Well after a slight concern with lack of contact from my OPC and PEC it turns out my spec lock date isn't until mid March, for build early April and delivery end of April so even later than most of you guys! Suits me fine as its my birthday at the end of April
Turns out I hadn't heard from PEC as they had my email address wrong which is all rectified now- hopefully I'll be able to book in before my spec lock date.

1) I'd ditch the PDLS+. I've got it and unless you're going to be driving lots at night, I wouldn't bother. And even if you were it's marginal, I've only used my twice in 6 months
2) Think you could save on the steering column leather as well, I don't have it but I couldn't tell you what the column looks like on mine now and I drove my car yesterday, so it can't look that bad

Need to try a manual box, also standard seats to see if they have enough adjustment for my lanky frame and PASM vs x73.
Does anyone have an educated estimate at the residual value of the Cayman GTS, say at 2/3yrs old? Will they hold strong, or take quite a hit in depreciation?
I was nosing around one at my local PC on Saturday, very, very nice. An itch I'd love to scratch, although that wont be feasible for a couple of years.
Apologies in advance for the vague question.

I think it may depend on whether any future GTS or GT4 models appear, and what the spec is. I would guess in a couple of years we'll see a GTS with a 4-pot turbo in 718 format.
A 981 Cayman GTS may end up being a fairly rare thing, and in the right spec it may have strong residuals.
I'd love to know the sales figures of the Cayman GTS in 2014 and 2015, especially compared to the GT4 (which seems to be around 250 UK cars).
