Mine in bright sunlight has blue / sliver hue / pearl finish to it which really stands out, mind you at the moment its filthy and needs a good clean.

Here are a few uploaded pictures from last month:

Looks great Andy - I've chosen the same wheels too although no PCCBs. I think the CWM really looks great on the more 'road car' GTS!

Carrara Classic 20" in Satin Platinum I think

Tis a lovely motor, wonder what the 2018 718 GTS will be like.

That statement is based on what I was told about cycles the other day. Stated that new GTS will be around 2 years into new model.

Got to be a four pot turbo hasn't it? If so, it'll be quick no doubt!

I can see the GT4 continuing as an NA model as it probably won't have the 718 moniker.

Apparently not guaranteed to be a flat 4, but again no information to OPC.
The nice chap from OPC said that the forums know a lot more than they do, but you have to pick the wheat from the chaff.

No doubt the next GTS will be a quick thing, but I base a lot of the driving experience around the noise. Again, we still don't know how he flat 4 will really sound. I'm holding an open mind about it.

Thanks guys.I own a GT4 but have managed to get a very late GTS slot.Just love these cars,I know the GT4 is a different 'thing' but very excited to be speccing a GTS.Thinking manual, ceramics, cwm, those platinum whhels + stuff that I miss on the GT4 (folding mirrors, park assist etc) and any other particular suggestions gladly received...

That's a very nice position to be in.

But why wouldn't you try and get into a Spyder instead, then you have the best of both worlds (open and closed top)
Most of the reports I see, say the Cayman GTS is 90 - 95% as good as a GT4.

Only my 2p, and it doesn't carry much weight,

Either way, it would be an envious garage.

You're a lucky man!

GTS interior is nice with the deviated stitching, but it's dear at £2k. Auto-dimming mirrors/auto wipers is worth doing at £300ish, and PDLS+ for auto full beam lights is around £300ish too.

Agreed!

I have those options on mine other than the PDLS+ as I didn't think its was worth it considering the car came with the PDLS system already.

Me neither. I've read mixed reviews so I left it off my spec.

I've specced it on mine as I do quite a bit of country highway miles, so I am hoping it will work well.

The couple of times I've used it it has worked well smile But I think it's just dependent on the driving you do. Different options for different use

Lots of country roads at night = PDLS+
Lots of motorway miles = Active cruise
Lots of parking in city = auto folding mirrors
Like your eyesight and want to keep it = auto dimming mirrors wink

Active Cruise is brilliant!

Over the past few days I added 500+ motorway miles to my previous meagre 309 mile grand total. I used Active Cruise for pretty much the entire journey and found it to be the closest thing to witchcraft I've yet encountered.

No more mucking around manually trimming my cruise speed to match the surrounding traffic, and I just loved the way it dropped a gear to accelerate back up to my chosen 75mph once the lane ahead cleared.

Ditto with the 2 zone climate control - it wasn't until our return journey that I realised I'd not once reached for the temperature control to respond to over or under heating.

Only another 1,000 miles and I can explore the upper 3,000 rpm biggrin

I have cruise control but made a big mistake not specifying the Active. I've tried it out on a recent test drive of a 991.2. Dam it was good.....

I have the ACC on mine and it's its one of the best options on the car IMO.

I had it on my BMW and ACC is very good. Unfortunately it isn't available with a manual.

Andy CGTS Is there any other spec on the exterior of your car I should be aware of?It really looks perfect...
As for the rest of it I'll go through it with Porsche Reading but the configurator is monumentally confusing (to me).Agree on all suggestions so far but genuinely bemused by interior trim options and what they cost...
I've been told because it's a late slot that anything not on the configurator is a no no...shame but I really think as a dd this ticks every box for me.

You might want to consider lack of door decals.... :-)

Actually, it's one of the few things I sometimes wish I had on mine but you really don't need to add much externally in my view.
