I only report my own personal feedback which is more than half a day.
I expect my instructor friend had too (he works at the PEC several days a week) and I think he would have pointed out to me any dramatic advantages he had noticed when we discussed them. Edited by bcr5784 on Saturday 16th April 17:40

Same here! I have no regrets at all. If I could wind the clock back and re order my GTS I'd specify them again without any hesitation. My only slight regret was I didn't choose the adaptive sports seats for their greater range of adjustments for SWMBO. Having said that she did try them initially and thought the seat back bolsters were too tight. She tried them again - after it was too late to change - and decided she liked them. Ah well, such is life!!I'd ignore bcr5784, he seems to make it his mission in life to disagree with just about everybody reading the various threads on PH!

The PCCBs are vastly better in terms of feel and stopping power. Crucially they utterly transform the steering. As in make the car feel totally different night and day. The standard brakes have a poor peddle feel. PCCBs offer better initial bite and far better modulation.
Cool story, bro........dreamcar said:

If you really want to believe that they have such vast advantages then so be it.Edited by dreamcar on Saturday 16th April 19:56

Having owned a car with them, I wouldnt pay for them, but nice to have.
As you say, they dont improve stopping performance they just dont go off on the track. I went to Bedford Autodrome and the brakes could have gone all day (shame the tyres couldn't!)
You'd never tell the difference in unsprung weight without back to back comparison.
Another nice benefit is they last longer (and the pads) and the wheels dont get nearly as much brake residue on them.
If you spec the "right" wheels, you barely notice the brake dust. I've got Carrera Classics on mine and because everything apart from the outward face is grey, you can't actually see the dust As you say, they dont improve stopping performance they just dont go off on the track. Had some bad luck too.
500 miles down, and out for a trip on Saturday. Passed a Dump Truck coming the other way, and yup...a black object, large enough for me to briefly see it, impacted the windscreen with a loud bang. Left a large crater an a secondary semi-circular crack just behind the rear view mirror.
Crack mean definite replacement needed. Now going through all the pain to get it replaced via the insurers (BTW - done the necessary research). Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.
Takes the shine off a bit
I guess I should be thankful it wasn't the radiator like Jaks (hope it gets sorted swiftly!), or the body work.

Really bad luck, but it could have been worse and hit the body. Get some Clearplex film fitted to your screen.500 miles down, and out for a trip on Saturday. Picked up my CGTS on Thursday and went straight to Wales for the weekend. All I can say is, is WOW! What a special machine. I was really lucky with the weather as well. I have now completed the 500 miles run in as well, so she is all set for the next trip. I still go to bed thinking about the car tucked away in the garage!

Congrats - it looks superb. Isn't the recommended bedding in period more than 500 miles?
The OPC that I purchased off said 500. To be honest, he said there is no official break in period, but he recommends taking it easy for the first 500 miles.cypriot said:

As I've already received this picture by text I'm going to presume you're Bondy's mate! My CGTS arrives on Friday (although likely not collecting until first week of May due to holiday) - we will have to do a run over to Wales again some time in May or June. Looks great btw. Also having grown up there I can confirm that Wales has a mediterranean climate and the weather is always that beautiful...... Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
